Non-playoff teams should be able to make roster changes during the playoffs. My suggestion is to allow this.

Signing new players should not be allowed until the offseason as per the norm right now, but other various roster changes including cut, release, renegotiate, etc etc etc should be allowed at all times.

My suggestion is to allow for non-playoff teams to make these types of roster changes.

And renegotiating contracts is allowed at all times.

Why? This is a football simulation. Football allows for these moves during any point of the year. Save, signing free agents...

Can only renegotiate a contract duration at all times, contract salary can only be renegotiated within a certain time frame during the season.

I've always been able to renegotiate whenever I wanted.

I'll answer you. There are many things in this game that aren't like "real life" football for a reason. The reason teams can't cut players before day 42 is so many teams would do this to get out of paying player salaries. Would just be an exploit.

IRL, you can train whenever you want too. IGLB, you can only train when on a team (avoidance of slow building).

The finances in this game are a joke. Unless you're playing stoned or drunk off your ass, you never have finance problems anyway. I don't see how getting out of paying a few days salaries would be viewed as a positive over the morale loss the team would experience which, in recent seasons, has been proven to be much more of a pain that finances.

There's a difference between cutting a player and doing some thing that makes that player better. It's entirely understandable that there are "regulations" on training as the person with no life sitting at their computer training 24 hours a day would get a leg up on the competition.

Being able to cut a player, as an example, provides no influence on the XP gains of a player.

I can only see this being acceptable if the dot is forced to retire.
