Have a publicly visible multiple IP flag.

This means, if an IP address logs in to an account that has logged in to another account there will be (on the user page, in the forums, and anywhere their name would appear) a little red flag gif next to it that when you hover over shows the other accounts the player logged in to and at what time.

This should eliminate multiple account usage all together, as well as account sharing, and real life trading of accounts-all of which I presume are very much so frowned upon for either security or financial reasons.

Having this anything but publicly visible would be less than effective. While it is somewhat useful for moderators and administrators to have access to this information it usually leads to horrible moderation/administration errors as deciding whether an account is being used by one person or two people on one IP address is sometimes actually difficult to infer without sometimes incidentally banning two brothers who take turns playing this game from the same computer.

Why would it help if anyone could see it? Because we the other players may just well know the people you are potentially banning better than you, go figure.

AT NO POINT IN THIS SUGGESTION DID I STATE YOU SHOULD SHARE WITH ANYONE ANY PART OF ANOTHER USERS IP ADDRESS.

There is absolutely no reason this is not already done.

I've been here for such a short time and I'm already too aware of the "multi" word being used way too much.

Also I don't really believe that the administration of this game have a negative view of multis in the least bit, I think they actually FEAR us knowing who all is a multi because it would show the people they've been overlooking for so long just because they spend money. If the administration were even the least bit concerned this would already be implemented in some way or form... but it doesn't seem to be.

This is in no way replaced by mods/admins being able to "check" on someones IP if they are suspicious of a multi account, as the word FLAG is very important...

I dont think it would add alot of value for most users.

but i'm going to leave this thread open for now.

The value I see it adding is not intended for older users.

The intended value is to eliminate the mistreatment of new users to the game.

I don't appreciate being trolled for being a multi when I am not, having this system would greatly reduce the likeliness of someone being a multi, not to mention would likely eliminate the desire to even make a multi.

A single free player is not worth people potentially calling you a multi regardless of how hard you claim it is your brother.

For the few brothers sisters and whatnot out there that could potentially be expected of being multis, I suggest getting another computer-who actually shares a computer these days?

this coming from someone that signed up to the site 10 days ago and is already using the language on GLB. no one picks that stuff up in 10 days so multi or not you are a older player that started a new account or you are a multi. regardless either now or in the past you had another account.

You really cant cheat by making a multi anymore, you are given a free player now, instead of flex, so you can't make an account to buy a team.

Cash means nothing, so you can't get a team and trade it to a team on your original account.

This would not be looked at as a problem because they are spending money. The point of making a multi is so you can get the free 300 flex points and the free Free Player. If they are spending money on both or all of their accounts then it is working as intended and there is no difference between multiple users on one IP address.

I personally don't have a problem with it, but I know from time to time people are asked to account sit and this would potentially put these people at risk of getting banned. If there was a way to allow this to still happen, I would have no issues.

As long as their on the same network or internet connection then it appears as the same IP address to GLB.

There is very clearly a difference, as I stated if you don't monitor this there is no way to monitor account sharing and real life trading.

Unless you think those two things should be allowed?

Person X has $1,000 of flex, I person have $0 of flex, I would love to have that flex to build players for my team but I'm not going to spend $1,000.

I could just assume the identity of person X and not get in trouble, but that means trying to BE someone else, not too appealing to most people, and would probably be hard to pull off.

This is an example where someone is getting a $1,000 experience they didn't pay for. This is not working as intended.
