Like when viewing a team, the player game log should show if it was a home or away game.

Simple thing would be to add @ in front of the opponent, showing it was an away game. This is the same thing that the team page does. Make it consistent and easy.

And how does this tell me if my player was on the home team or not?

Well there should be consistency. When you view team log you see @ when they were away. Easy enough to simply add the same thing to player log. Makes it quicker to scan.

Websites need consistency. This is something that would take 5 minutes of coding and wouldn't harm anything..simply make it easier and quicker to view.
