Would be pretty sweet if a team's W-L was automatically updated somewhere on the team page. The system would start recording wins and losses as soon as the team is purchased.

Yeah, I learned a long time ago to keep it simple to start with and then ask for add-ons.

if the team is sold then rebought by someone else im assuming the count would restart? what would happen if the team was transferred to a gm?

I would have a toggle option in an edit screen, record all time, record since last name change, record since last owner, record since last demotion, record since last promotion, etc.

Yes

This would actually be beneficial to an owner buying a new team that went 0-16 the previous season.

As far as the GM taking over the team I would think the team should keep the record.
