This suggestion starts off with eliminating player intensity. With all the new changes there is no reason to not have your dot play on hard. I'm not sure if there ever was a reason to play on relaxed or normal anyway, except to get more plays in to gain more xp in the old system.
With that out of the way, the next part of the suggestion is to create a training intensity tab. It could have such options as HARD, NORMAL, and RELAXED.
If training on NORMAL, the dot would receive training options exactly as they are now. No changes to anything. Occasional random training break throughs. Business as usual.
If training on RELAXED, the dot would receive training exactly as training is now, except for there would be no training break throughs. It is only really relevant to those nearing a full training bar and don't want a break through to push them over before they level up.
If training on HARD, the training would change slightly. All of the training percentages and other aspects remain the same on a normal training, except for when the dot receives a breakthrough. Training break throughs on hard training will receive a slightly higher bonus. Trying to get the higher bonus comes with the risk of having a training set back. Set backs receive slightly less than the normal training amount. Sometimes you get a break through, sometimes a setback, but mostly its neither.
I'm not suggesting the effect on training HARD to be a lot. Most long term builds should come out the same. A bunch of breakthroughs, offset by a bunch of set backs. A few builds should end up with a slightly better effect from training over their careers. A few would be slightly behind dots that trained on NORMAL. The difference should only be slight.
I think this could mix up the cookie cutter build process slightly but also leave it the same for people who don't want to take the risk. I think it would add more to the average agents experience weighing in the risk/reward of training.
I'm not the best one to suggest what the different percentages should be, so i won't try to suggest what they should be.... just laying out a concept i've been thinking might add to the game.
