I feel like a part of pass quality is throwing a "catchable" ball. This should matter regardless of who is catching it. I understand that placement of the ball is also a big factor (where only your man can get it), but if a defender can get in position to make an intercept roll, a higher quality pass should be easier to catch. This would help elite defenders make plays vs elite quarterbacks rather than having a dominant QB throw all over the defense regardless of who is back there.
Maybe this already exists, maybe it uses the same "catching code" to calculate any catches... I don't know. If it doesn't, it should IMO.
