Currently, bort has it set up so that each player has one free dot that can be made and boosted for free throughout his lifetime. What I propose is that for every RL year that a person remains active, and has a dot, that account is given another free player (with an arbitrary maximum so bort can still make money...let's say 5).
This has several benefits including agent retention and more dots to fill teams. This is not really asking for free flex or reward points, more just an idea to give people incentive to keep playing and stay active. There could even be the stipulation that the free player created has to be a player in high demand. Or perhaps some type of tiered structure.
Year 1: Ability to make a free 100 flex position player
Year 2: Ability to make another player who is either 100 or 200 flex
Year 3-?: Ability to make another player who of any flex level
A Real Life year is a lot of time and usually, I would argue that at least half of the users who start GLB are overwhelmed by the learning curve and don't stick around. This would improve both the number of new users who stay as well as the number of veterans who stick around for added benefits. And let's be honest, most users who are staying for that long are going to either become GMs or own a team or want to build more players, so they'll buy flex, which means more $ for bort, which is always a plus.
Thoughts? Pros and cons?
