there have been games when I have faced a team with a really good punt returner. I think adding the ability to kick the ball out of bounce instead of kicking it to him every time would be a great option. Maybe add it to the tactic options. I'd rather lose 10-20 yards than have him return it every time.

at higher levels, more punts are a fair catch than returned already. Add in the new SIM and it's more a question of is it even necessary to have a return specialist.

I've always said this should be an option. We should be able to set in offensive tactics when to attempt to punt out of bounds. How accurately the punter executes the out of bounds punt should depend on his attributes, but whether he tries should be controllable.

Teams with elite return units should dominate against teams without good coverage units and well designed depth charts. Bort's nerf this season already neutered special teams enough.

Lol. Thanks. I don't know why I spelled it like that.
I changed my punter to 100% hang time. Hopefully that will help. I was jut looking any next opponent and I noticed that they retune a ton of kicks for TD's. Just trying to figure out a way to stop that.

I don't like it because then that would be all other teams would do...

Yeah, you're right, let's not implement something entirely realistic. Let's go for unrealistic.

That's what GLB's all about.

I do get it that almost all teams would do it but I think it should be an option. Your trading 20-30 yards in exchange for a dangerous guy to not return your punts. Kind of what teams do with devin Hester. They will take a loss in yardage just so he doesn't touch the ball.

with a punter with high Strength, Punting and Vision = coffin punter to the extreme...
