The running game is great but instead of going back to slam ball with a lead or if behind, I'd like to suggest you guy add a bonus to defensive players to watch for run plays better on 4th and short. It's too easy to pick up a 4th down now. The only thing really stopping them is penalties. Maybe a vision bonus to reading runs on 4th and short.

Defend well on downs 1 to 3 and you shouldn't have to worry as much about 4th and short.

OFFS the ease with which teams can make a fourth down conversion in GLB is NOT just the fault of the other side. I am pretty sure the conversion rate is much higher in GLB that it is in the NFL, excluding the late game 4 for too much desperation throws.
And either way, the fact is that defenders DO step it up on fourth and short, yet IIRC there is no corresponding VA or SA for this. There should be.

I know, right? Complete and utter crap! GLB should create a VA based on the OP right now! Call it "Clutch" or something!

The problem is that if you are DC'ing, you create custom plays for 4th and short. No reason to reward those who don't.

I'd support a suggestion for a VA that gave a bonus to run-stuffing on 3rd and 4th down, much as Third Down Stopper does with passes, though: something like +2%/level to Strength and Tackling on running plays on 3rd and 4th down while the carrier is short of the first down, when playing on the D-Line or as Linebacker. Then there's no arbitrary game-wide different treatment of those downs, but just a VA that can be chosen or passed over for another one at the defense's choice.

I'm a DC (in a thread full of OCs) and I -1 this
Just stack the box, go goalline or something. If I can stop a 4th and short run wit a CB blitz from the opposite side, its not overpowered
