Question: Does the Pulling Lineman VA trigger on screens?
Bort Answer: Nope; runs only.
This is ungood and not very sensible. A screen is a passing run basically. The Lineman pulls and runs the same sort of blocks. Why would the VA not apply to both a sweep and a screen equally? I can see just for sake of simplicity not having Run Blocking work on Screen passes, but it would make sense to just remove from Pulling Lineman the check for type of play, because on passes other than a screen it wont happen anyway.
So fix this, change it, make Pulling work on pass plays too so it works for screens.
I would comment on this but not sure what you are trying to say.
I mean you said before how intelligent you are; but with words like "ungood"(not even in the English language)
Then what is a "passing run"?LOL I mean you said you are in the top .03% (or some stupid crap like that)of intelligence . Then you use words like "ungood"
Now blocking for screen is totally different then blocking for a run.So, now the block for a screen are not the same as for a run as you stated.
You want to use RL football as a guideline
for GLB to follow, but yet you saying screen blocking and run blocking are the same gives evidence that you almost have no clue what details there are in the fundamentals of RL football.AGain this shows you are just blasting ideas off with out no real thought. Then when someone shows you fault in the idea you want to try argue your point with no real seriou8s thinking behind it.Then you cry about being trolled.
Not trying to be an ass..just the plain, blunt truth.
-1 to the idea
You've never read 1984 I gather. Un-Good is a term from the book. Classic stuff. Tad dry but you're United States Culture-Fu will be increased if you at least read the Cliff Notes Grasshopper (or whatever the new Cliff's are these days)
Its a passing run because the HB runs to the side and is passed the ball before he crosses the line of scrimmage. The net effect is much like a sweep but with an attempt to dupe the defense into biting on a pass.
As for the blocking for one being different than the other, I noted myself that this was possible in my OP so thank you for flaming me for not knowing something I said I may not know.
That said, however, the actual block itself is not important and not my point. The point is the physical act of the O line man running away from the line and towards the sideline before making the block, which is what the Pulling Lineman VA is all about. I did not say that Outside Blocker should apply. Just Pulling Lineman. While I may not know some nuance it would seem to me that motoring ones wide O Line but 10 yards stage left would be much the same skill regardless of the type of play one was going to support when you eventually got there.
Stage Left is another cultural reference by the way, dual one being both basic theater oriented and also.....hmm an old cartoon. What was the name? Snaggletooth was the character. Was that the name of the show?
Anyway, thanks for the honest flame, but you missed your mark badly.
