Sim Major Changelog (affects following day)

Feb 15, 2012

- Fixed kick return path generation so kicking team won't stop in the middle of the field and wait for the returner to get the ball

This "fix" broke kick return blocking:

10 coverage players unblocked before contact with blocking wedge

Please "re-fix" this

There has to be a happy medium between the fast coverage dots coming to a complete stop last season and the absolutely no blocking we have this season.

I've got to agree with you here. Catch, I like the changes in theory, but if you trot out any 7 guys on that front kick return line, at least 3 or 4 should be able to hold a block. Especially designated blockers like OL.

Although I hope going forward, people do get penalized for putting using 300 pounders as STOPS. You've gotta know that's not realistic either eh rawss? Those guys would get run around all the time IRL.

What's unrealistic about that?
There is no drug testing in GLB.

If we can build them then they're realistic.

I'm assuming you know about the speed/agility penalty for heavier players. No way 300 lb STOPS should be able to keep a 200lb speedy gunner from running by him.

Yes,
With angles that can be taken, they should at least be able to put a hand on them and slow them down.

This game allows 200 and 300 pounders to be built the same way so the weight penalty should not be that significant.
Yes, 300 pounders can be faster than what is realistic but 200 pounders can be stronger than what is realistic too.

Agreed. Would be like misses on long FG's where a KR is waiting in the endzone. Almost always a TD.

Slow them down sure. Some of the guys in that link were slowed down. But they're not gonna be able to stop them very often, for more than a few ticks, IRL.

IRL? Seriously?
The builds that GLB allow have nothing to do with IRL

...says the guy whose STOPS are now worthless in large part because they're not built realistically enough.
