Pylon dive VA -

This player is determined to score and knows when to lay it all on the line. Each level of Pylon Dive gives a 3% chance to perform a pylon touchdown dive. This player must be within 5 yards of the opponent's end zone and an opponent must be in his cone of vision, directly in front or next to him.

Not going to -1 it, because I think it is a good idea, but it sounds too limited. I can't see people wasting VA points on something like this when it only applies in these rare situations.

pretty much this.

It just doesn't sound like something anyoen would invest in.

why should this be a VA? I think this should be more of a tactic thing. With the risk of fumble increasing, but the chance of additional yards (which might mean TD) increasing.

Something like:

Always
When Down
When Down in the 4th Quarter
Rarely / Never

Well, its kinda like the First Down VA. Might make more sense to make the First Down VA ALSO the Goal Line as a trigger.

But if its something new, call it "Extend" and have it read "If the player is being tackled within one point five yards of the endzone he will extend his arm in an attempt to break the plane to score, at the cost of a higher chance of fumbling the ball if unsuccessful. The chance of triggering Extend is greater at the end of the game when losing by one touchdown or less. Additional levels of Extend increase the chance of scoring and fumbling."

I think it would be better for it to have a higher effect of the defender using "jackhammer" or something

Once saw Cunningham do this and he DID look like Supreman flynig through the air, a horizontal helmeted Air Jordan!

Good stuff here guys but I'm not talking about reaching half of a yard to get over the goalline. Like you said, that's already in the game. I'm talking about Pylon dives that's it. Think about how often it happens in the NFL. I don't know exactly how we can add it in... either tactics or add it into an existing VA but I do think it should be added somehow.

I can think of a million better examples then this but here is a play from our last game. Players dive over the pylon at this angle in the NFL all the time:
