No, I get that that's when it's created. I know why the column is there. The game has made it though so that's the best time to create a player. They won't get stats. The game knows any player made after Day 40 is intended for the next season. I know this because a newly created player is Day 0 until Day 1 of there next season. So therefore that's when the stat line should start.
The question becomes, can you boost in the season that they are created? Yes and tbh most do.
If you roll into day 0 of the next season and you are a freshly created level 1 dot with no training or boosting done, then I could see the point, but since that isn't the case, i honestly prefer that they stick with the way that it is now.

I see what you mean, i thought you were referring to the mouseover that tells you what season your player was created.
But still i'd have to say no. As myd said, it's harmless. I suppose for sake of "correctness" you could push for the change but since most everyone will have no stats in the creation season (if made D40-48) it will be the same for everyone.
not a major problem, but +1 to not displaying a line of stats when all of them are 0...should only show up when there are games played that season, regardless of when the dot is created. I would imagine there's a greasemonkey script for this if it really bugs you
