I dont know if the title really explains what I want to suggest.

I know GLB has been trying to make coaches for the game and for whatever reason it doesnt fly.

My suggestion is that when a Agent signs up to play this game that person will then have to choose Archetypes for the kind of Owner , Coach , Recruiter , Offensive / Defensive and Special Teams Coordinator ect. That he would like to be if that person chose to be any of these things in the game. Old Agents can be let to choose one , its obviously going to be easier for the older Agents who are already used in these positions to pick whats best for them.

The are many Agents that are just happy being Agents and creating players and thats it but, to those who do want to be Owners or Offensive Coordinators they would have a Archetype set. A team Owner can then choose which way He/She would like to build their team.

Now I think you would only get points to skill up your Archetype only if you are set into that specific position and you wouldnt get points like a created player would, you would get it after a season of experience and maybe every other season. The Archetypes would give your team very small bonuses so as it wouldnt get unfair or out of control. Also like many teams towards the end of the season when they get late into the playoffs , Owners love to add everyone on the team as some kind of GM to get them all Trophies.

That should not count as experience points for those agents. There should be a limit on how many positions can be used on a team so that the Agents that are really running the team earn the skill points to get the bonuses. If the Agents on the team want to get a Trophy GLB should just allow them to get it with out being placed as GMS.

I love this idea, it would allow casual games to get a bit more competitive also!

#New agents do not know what each job entails so yeah everyone says well I would love to be a OC or DC. yet when the time comes to actually start doing the work they fail miserably.

#what would it matter what archtype a player has chosen to a owner. the owners try to hire the best GMs possible for their teams. so what if lets say a guy has a archtype of being a OC but in reality he is the most gifted DC in the game. the archtype isn't going to matter to the owner and he isn't going to just hire GMs because they have a archtype beside their name or atleast any good owner wouldn't.

#by this way of thinking then agents that do dual jobs like OC and DC a team at the same time wouldn't reap the rewards for anything but their chosen archtype. this in turn screws them and makes then only do 1 side of the ball and that screws even more owners in the long run.

This is a different argument, as he's saying the agent himself would choose the coaching/owner position he wants when he creates his account.

It's a bad idea, as newbies signing in wouldn't know what each position required, among other things. But it is a different idea.

Omg , I said new Agents get over that part. ( sometimes I think peeps just want to grab something if anything just to shoot it down ) And if anyone really read it youd see that I didnt know what to properly title this thread , its obviously not what GLB wanted with Coaches. Its about giving Agents who are Coordinators or Owners to give their team a tiny bonus for the Archetypes they have chosen and have the most experience in because of their hard work.

When GLB adds something new to the game they let everyone start over and do it like they did with the players we all created or did everyone forget?

Make it Agents period.

New and Old. Who said the GLB team couldnt make it where it would allow you to switch Archetypes if you would rather be something else?

I also never said that if one Agent runs both the Offense and Defense , he wouldnt get points for it. The closest thing I did mention was that Gms that where added for the sake of getting a trophy shouldnt get points , it should only be given to the Agents that actually ran a certain position.

Its a suggestion that can be worked on and improved. A building point. Someone comes up with an idea and a team works on it to fix the kinks or bugs to make the idea work.
