Warrior General Games

A lot of boards that I post on, allow you to receive emails to threads that you're subscribed to, so when someone posts in that thread, you'll receive an email, but options for an alert or a PM to our GLB account or an email to our personal email would be great. I think this is long overdue.

There was talk about e-mail digests being made at some point. Right now, I don't think GLB has any e-mail functionality at ll except for lost passwords. Somwhere in here though, there's a list of things that Bort (and maybe Catch) posted - game results, team alerts, all kinds of stuff were on it. I'm not sure about forum stuff, but that thread would probably be a good one to post in if you can dig it out.

Okay, great. I appreciate that, I'll see what I can do(find the thread). I took a three year hiatus from the game, so I'm not sure about all that has gone on(discussed), but I'm glad to be back, I love the changes.

I agree that its tiresome to have to manually go back to a thread that you commented on to check whether there has been any replies. Its why I don't do it much. That said, I don't want a pile of emails from GLB either.

Would be much better to send them to the Alerts folder in the Inbox. In fact, the Alerts box is massively underutilized, it would be perfect for this type of functionality.

A good forum notifier will also only notify you ONCE per thread. If one post is made you get an e-mail. If 10 more are posted after that before you log in, no more mails.

I like the idea of a daily digest (as per the thread I linked to above) though. Especially if it can tell it roughly what time of day I'd like it. Look one place to see everything that happened over the course of the last 24 hours.
