Have a box that allows a human controlled player to opt out of special teams on CPU teams.

I have been running two or more teams going back to season 10, however, I always run a couple of CPU team dots for fun on the side. I hate that no matter what position they are (WR, HB, QB, LB) they always end up returning kicks and destroying their energy and moral. Therefore, they get way less snaps and what is the fun of that.

I would love it if we made a box that could be checked in tactics opting out of Special Teams. Seems like an easy fix.

I would support this. Way too many times you get D-League teams with 3 QBs, and the 2nd and 3rd QBs never play a snap at QB because they are always playing on Special Teams.

I know Bort couldn't care less about CPU teams/players. It's a shame it would be a quick fix.

Providing that the opt-out is limited to players on CPU teams... +1

That being said, as it is, its an incentive to sign to a human run team.

this. Bort could probably add a script that prohibits Agent players from special teams until all CPU dots are assigned.

Yeah, let's make it more RL so that QBs 2 & 3 never see the field at all! Maybe then they'll get the hint and be happy with the meager playtime they get now. +1

Huh, hadnt noticed this issue but it does sound annoying

Or lacking this idea, just fix the script. If the dot isnt a ST archtype, dont have it playing special teams unless there are enough human players on the team to make it necessary.

If it isn't a STOP or Returner Archetype, sure. Better to make it an agent's option rather than a forced script though.

I enjoy having dots on a d-league team here and there and don't always want them on STs.

Most of the CPU teams I've been on have like 4 or 5 human players. So there are pleanty of guys to return kicks. It kills the stamina of the human controlled dots. You know the ones we are paying for.

Check out this team I'm on. http://goallineblitz.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=2287 two human controlled players on the entire team. Guess who are returning kicks. My QB and the other guys WR. I had 7 KR's he had 7 PR's. Returning kicks kills the energy on these guys. As a result my guy I've paid for, boosted, and CE'd got 25 snaps and passed 3 times vs his QB who had 47 snaps and 31 passing attempts. http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1901686

It just ain't right

Doing anything to improve the situation for people that sign with D-league teams is like working to make a prison more enjoyable for inmates. If you don't want to sign with a human owned team, fine. Just don't like the thought of Bort being pulled away from the real game to make Attention Whore teams (aka CPUs) more fun to sign your dot with.
