24 hours is a long time to wait for a day to go past, can we run the sim every 8 hours, essentially simulating 3 days for every 1 day. Or even 12 hours? Perhaps even having a sub-site or league that has accelerated simulations for those of us who play GLB all day at work.

I'd even be willing to maintain another account on accelerated.goallineblitz.com that is completely separate from this one.

People are already complaining that quick-scrimmages are happening too fast to make gameplans, you want to do that for the games that count, too? <shiver>

Separate server might be interesting, but I would imagine the burn-out rate would be about 10 days on average.

it's not going to happen. Since you own no team and do not GM any team, it's clear you are not familiar with the time requirements already in place for people who manage teams. Increasing sims to even every day would drive most co-ordinators out of the game and lead to a very boring game.

-1, and yes this should be locked.

With only two dots, I see where the OP is coming from. If he had dots on 10+ teams or worked on AI for any team, he might feel differently.

Really? That seems silly to me -- the challenger should have something in place before making the challenge, and the challengee shouldn't care.

GM, DC/OC, or have more Dots.

...or sign to a human-owned team. One's on a CPU, the other's in the D-leagues.

I've GMd before with some friends (who most quit playing) and I definitely understand what you guys are saying about increasing my holdings to feel busier. But even then, 48 hours was too long to plan for games when I'm sitting at my desk doing little of anything for 8-12 hours a day.

I actually expected such a response, which is why this suggestion is more suited for an alternate environment instead of a change to the one we all know.

Alas, if the consensus view is against, I am accepting, no need to attack my Dots.

For comparison, if any of you play Fantasy Football AND Baseball, you know that managing you FFootball team is a menial task compared to what's required to manage a FBaseball team where lineups can change hours before the game starts (and MLB plays every day of the week). They're essentially the same you just HAVE to be more attentive on a higher frequency in FBaseball to succeed.

if you play this for 8-12 hours a day, you should probably put a shitload of money into it and run your own team to keep yourself entertained.

make 55 boosting dots and field a team, coordinate the O/D/ST and then tell me ud like a faster sim..

@irhiggs - No offense was intended from this quarter toward you or your dots. The point that I was trying to make (clumsily) was that by only having dots on CPU-owned teams, you're missing a lot of the hustle and bustle because those teams aren't taking part in extra games. And I play fantasy hockey, which is similar enough to baseball that I get the analogy.
