Its happened to me alot. there should be some way of blocking that from happening..

I'm pretty sure there already is, can you show a league/teams that have this?

I don't mind being in the same league, but when both my teams are in the same conference (2nd season in a row) just stupid.

I don't really mind in two different conferences, though that probably shouldnt happen either, but same conference makes you play yourself and that means you may be tempted to throw the game in favor of the team with the best playoff/title shot, and worse than that it creates that question in the mind of everyone else if that team wins regardless.

As for it happening, happened to me last season (same conference) and this (same league). I probably had the same league in my preferences back when we could choose that and the league names extended down to AAA etc. That might have contributed, but not sure.

But it should probably be fixed since it means time support has to manually do it otherwise.

The World League had it just this past season with Odessa and Cinci being owned by the same agent

They should at least be able to keep such teams out of the same conference. +1 to the OP.

+1 to keeping them from the same conference. Same league is asking too much.

I wonder how much of that placement is because of scrimmages.

If you can get two teams to World League at the same time you should be allowed to play them both.
That is a pretty mean feat.
(it would be good if they were in separate conferences but your case I think they were.)
