We were discussing in a development meeting today about the idea of adding a daily summary type of email (not a PM; an actual email) that you could opt-in to, to help people keep tabs on important stuff going on with their account even if they don't log in every day and potentially increase engagement a bit. We've had some customers request this sort of thing in the past as well.
We were trying to think up the things that could be in the email, but I figured I'd see if anyone else had suggestions or ideas. These could potentially all be toggles you could turn on and off.
The list of potential ideas I had off the top of my head was:
- Summaries of games for teams you follow on the "my games" page
- Player level ups or veteran point level ups
- Admin announcements or new changelog entries
- Reminders on Important dates (playoffs starting, trade deadline, team expiring, etc)
- New achievements or records set (these are in the works)
- Trophies won
- List your players who are in the MVP race or top ranked globally
- Alerts from team owners
- Contract offers received
- Scrim requests received
- Recent count of alerts or PMs received
- Reminders about games you "circle" on the calendar
- It could maybe include a link to get some reward points on your birthday or something along those lines
Other ideas from users:
- Auto training completed
- Set individual time frames per alert type (daily for level ups, weekly for games, etc)
- Alerts when players have eq upgrades pending
- Endorsements received
Probably not all of those would be included, or might only be included at specific times, but ideas are good.
