Another game, anothing ranking. Some movement and a new team never before seen, check it out.

Rank - Team name - Standings - Synopsis - Change

1. Austin Lumberjacks (7-1) – Assumed number one last week, and reinforced it this week. Strong defensive effort in the victory over the Resurrection. Allowed just an impressive 51 yd FG while holding Phoenix to under 200 yards of offense. Still had 3 turnovers to be wary of. Honestly, Austin should win out. (0)

2. Miami Canes (7-1) – Sit alone at the top of the East standings after taking apart AP. In 16 attempts, the Warriors had just 8 yards rushing. That’s a defense to pay attention to. Canes could also likely go undefeated through the end of the season, but H-Town as their mix conference game could be a lot of trouble. (0)

3. San Marcos Rivermen (6-2) – Bjorn Johanson? Isn’t that a Swedish name? What is he doing dominating an American League game? Anyway, Rivermen’s defense came to town and took care of the business necessary to win. Schedule has yet to finish the hard part though, a tough game with the Golden Kangaroos to go. (+1)

4. Raving Mad Dawgs (7-1) – A good win for Raving keeps them moving up the ranks, but red zone efficiency will need to improve for postseason play. A way off yes, but never too early to think about a championship. Mad Dawgs have a few more games against top 10 teams still to come, so they can move up or down big time. (+2)

5. Las Vegas Legends (7-1) – Strong bounce back game in another all field goal matchup, winning 4 to 3. This team’s offense has disappeared, but the defense can keep the team alive and in any game. L.V. has figured out the perfect formula to win ugly, but win. Still have a few more games worth paying attention to. (+2)

6. N.H. Hounds (6-2) – Fallen morale after the first loss of the year? Fell into a 24 point deficit in the first half and was simply never able to make it back. The Hounds have finally finished their toughest part of their schedule, but they didn’t perform as well as would have been preferred. 14-2 is a definite possibility. (-4)

7. Phoenix Resurrection (6-2) – Where have the Resurrection gone right? In the last two games the defense has been missing, the offense anemic but the punter is averaging over 30 yards per punt! Resurrection don’t need to worry yet, but they have two more tough games with Anchorage and Raving. (-2)

8. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos (6-2) – Talk about a huge bounce back game. The Roos took care of business right good with a big win against the Hounds. The offense was back, the defense was still good and zero turnovers committed, that’s a complete game. The Rivermen are the biggest challenge remaining. (-2)

9. Key Largo Barracudas (6-2) – Have yet to make a lot of noise against big name teams and are likely to run in to some trouble against the Kings of the East, but they just keep on winning. The team chemistry is very high and the offense and defense have both been very consistent. Could continue to stay solid and in the top 10 for a while. (+2)
10. Anchorage Maulers (5-3) – Difficult loss to take against the Legends in a game where one touchdown could have meant glory. Needed to go for it all on 4th and 1 from the 18 with just 2 minutes left to play. Maulers stay in the 10 by the hair on their chins, but will have to earn their spot as next up is Phoenix. (-2)

Dropped out: Dallas Strikers – the offense was just held down too much to warrant sticking in, don’t be surprised if they’re back in before the end of the year though

Good stuff as usual, I appreciate our rating and we are gonna work on those turnovers...

Nice job on the rankings, very unbiased as usual. As weird as it sounds though I would actually put the Roos ahead of us since they beat us head-to-head, but will definately take the ranking.

The rankings, especially coming from the Eastern Conference are very hard to do.

Hounds - beat Canes, lost to Roos and Rivermen
Canes - beat Roos and Rivermen, lost to Hounds
Roos - beat Hounds, lost to Pirates (bad loss) and Canes
Rivermen - beat Hounds, lost to Crows (bad loss) and Canes

Makes a very odd circle. Canes are on top going 2-1 in that circle, Hounds 1-2 but no bad losses, Roos and Rivermen each 1-1 with a bad loss, Rivermen beat the Pirates the Roos lost to, Roos beat the Crows the Rivermen lost to.

Becomes a dimension of "better" wins or losses, which is very hard to equate literally.

If anyone has any suggestions or desires to see added in, let me know. I've been going off my same similar formula the whole way of looking at strongest teams, who they're playing and that kind of stuff. If you want to see more influence on defense, special teams, offense, whatever, let me know.

I would like to know what you think about our offense and defense...

Your defense seems to have massively improved since your only loss. You have been playing against good offenses and are still taking care of business.

The fact that your kicker has less than 20 FG attempts inside of 39 yards is a good sign that you guys finish in the red zone when you get there.

Bad sign of the offense is that they seem to be susceptible to solid defenses as you have had 4 games over 30 points against 4 bad teams, but against good teams your point totals have dropped off pretty significantly. 16, 19, 21, 23 against better defenses is by no means poor, but in the playoffs, that might not be enough in a close game.

You guys are solid all around and I definitely did not give you all enough respect at the beginning of the year in the first ranking because of your loss to Anchorage.

We tried some different things against the maulers, in no way taking away from there team but we did some things that we hve not done in two seasons... And i agree with the differential in point totals but I have alot of faith in our defense if we give them 20 points I believe we end up with a W..

We made a few tweaks on the defensive side of the ball. Still a work in progress, but it is coming along nicely.

The offensive side, we definitely need to get more consistency. If you look at our yardage, we are tops in passing, and top 5 (I think, might have dropped this game) in rushing. We are struggling big time with turnovers, it's KILLING us.

I know that everyone has things to work out, though...just hoping to keep improving and a little luck.

The Roos lost to Collinsville by 1 point....
- but I do think Collinsville is a team that will get to the playoff

The Roos lost to The Canes on a late FG
- and no-one would but questionmark at their team

The Roos have "a dream" to once more get into top-4 in East
- which will give us a homefield (and we try to hold-on to our boost)

We still need Rivermen - that will be an up-the-hill match
and we still need Pittsburgh, that I think is the "darkhorse" in east
(maybe even this seasons bats!!!)

I love that with-in just 1 1/2 season we all has gone to know each other
and we are having some really good match vs each-other
As a Dane with no deeper knowledge to the finer details in the game
- I got to thank my two american GM`s plus lots of friends around GLB

A quick search of the BBB leagues explains why 13 is one of the most competitive. We were the only league after 7 games not to have at least 2 undefeated teams. Everyone in 13 beats up on each other, and nobody has gotten a soft schedule to waltz through the first half of the season. BBB9 only has 1 team undefeated now, after 1 of their 2 was knocked off in game 8 which was simmed just last night (the 26th).

We beat up on each other good, and it's a fun league to be in due to the spread of wealth and ability.

Key Largo is a team to watch. They are flying under the radar but 2 loses both came against top East teams.

Fair enough drop, annoyed we didn't convert our advantage in yardage into points again, seems to be something missing from the equation. The INTs early in drives giving up easy FG also hurting.

Sigh... keeping the 4 team out of the endzone is over-rated.

EDIT: I see KINGS hasn't done his rating... his much better and more relevant and accurate rating. KINGS > twosph88, and in a big way. KINGS is a handsome man.

There is only 10 spots JoSCh, and this version of the ranking is always going to have a slight East bias, as KINGS has a West bias. You guys didn't put up a bad performance but no-one above you really tanked this week either. It's just that close a division.
