Nowdays, when a new owner acquire a team, all the human player that remmain receive one automatic contract extension without their approval.
In other words, if you do nothing you get a new contract without choice.

Please fix that, let the contracts flow normally without auto extension.
Or to make a contract extension request the player approval.

Sounds like a good plan. I wasn't aware that it gave you an auto contract, as I've never stayed on a team once the owner has sold up.

I never noticed this either. I usually got the option of self-release or doing nothing and just playing out the contract I had in place.

Very unexpected effect in my humble opinion.

I have never had an auto contract, when an owner sold a team, just the pm to release the player.

The owner is 4 days idle, not sure if he will ¨wake up¨ soon.

Would help if the players in question had a release player button on their profile, just in case they delete the alert.

This. TBH I PMed support on day #3 of my window to release a player with new ownership, and support didn't get back to me until day 4+....... total mess now.

Still screwed up, lets wait to see if someone can help me.
