After players reach their age plateau there is nothing to do with them except watch them play. No training pts, veteran pts, no bonus tokens or equipment upgrades. What fun is that?

Edit: Two of my players have been in extended plateau for like 4 seasons and they still have 82 more days( 2 more seasons) to go and there is nothing I can do with them. My TE just reached his extended plateau and now I can forget about him too for the foreseeable future.

Without any consideration for the overall good of GLB, I will say +1 as I have a TE in plateau that is boring.

And with 173 days of extended plateau you have over 4 seasons of nothing to do with him except signing contracts. See you next fall.

Good point. Actually going continue my plan to retire him for the flex. I withdraw my +1 without any condemnation or denunciation of your idea as I am no longer bored.

Just a thought, maybe a 'plateau' player would be able to unlock a new GLB league entirely. Let's call in the X-GLB League, where each player can use their fame to purchase bonus equipment or gadgets. For example, a jet pack that would give them a speed boost, or an oil slick canister/glue stick that would slow a defender down. These would be used similar to special abilities.

Think of this as a bonus for players that have been around for a long time, and instead of retirement, they find themselves playing in some sort of Extreme GLB league where each player can use specialized equipment, in addition to the equipment they already have. This would be unlocked after the player used a certain amount of fame to enter the X-GLB, and will no longer be able to participate in the normal leagues.

What ya think?

Plateau is plateau and yes, I have players in that situation. Retire and restart if you need something to do.

If I do retire them I will no longer boost players that I paid for. By boosting them they receive the extended plateau time which I wouldn't then use. It would be a waste of flex pts. I quess that would save me money and cost Bort.

Yes I do and it is an age plateau not an ability plateau because I've been told that after the extended plateau is over then vet pts begin again.

Plateau - a period or state of little or no growth or decline: to reach a plateau in one's career.

The 'retired and start over" idea sound more of a rinse and repeat deal. Would be interesting to see the data on how many keep retiring just to know what to somewhat expect the next times, versus the die-hard agents that keep with the cycle. Being I have not reached this level, have nothing really to go on other than speculation. What is so bad about this 'plateau' stage of a player's career anyway? Should their be some type of extension that allows for additional bonuses, or keep it the same.

Also, at what age is a player pretty much in need of retirement?

-1. Perhaps something needs to be done to give plateau'd players something to do could be added, giving them VA points is not it.

As mentioned before, the point of the plateau is to allow you to have a player longer, but not making them increase in their ability to dominate younger players. This would just end up forcing teams to take only players in their last plateau season and turnover players every season.

That was part of the point they were trying to eliminate so that teams could have a few seasons at the top without having to dump players every season.

"From level 40 up, you receive 325 veteran XP per day. " from the wiki- this would mean that a player would get a VA every 3-4 days or a total of 13 VA's per season for 5 seasons (65 total new VA points for a 5 season plateau) That would be unbelievably unbalancing for many positions.
