Right now if you pick custom pass progression you have to pick 5 targets. Why not have an option for "open man". Let the QB's vision determine where to pass the ball. Just add it as an option...just like a WR1, TE, etc.

This could allow for higher completion % without changing passing mechanics.

note that catch said it is unlikely to happen because it would add a significant amount of complexity (code wise) to an already rather complex game
