Most bug reports are labeled "working as intended," even when everyone agrees there is an obvious problem--the mods (not faulting them, but the setup) say go to Suggestions.

Suggestions forum get trolled hard and there are so many that most get lost--even those with nothing but 100% support never get acted upon or mods say (again, not slamming them, this is what they are told to do) say they are NGTH.

NGTH is clearly not as absolute as it seems--many elements of the game today were considered NGTH at one point.

People try to discuss overall problems (with or without specific changes in mind) and those threads get locked as "game is broken."

So--to recap... I think this is a bug, they tell me "not a bug--go to suggestions"... I go to suggestions they tell me "NGTH, sorry"... I got to GLB main, gets locked as "Game is broken thread"... yeah, like duh, I'm posting because I think there is something broken that needs to be fixed but each step you've allowed (bug and suggestions) isn't allowed to consider it. What else can be done?

I'd suggest merging all complaint, game is broken, bug and suggestion threads into one "Can't We All Just Get Along: Making the Game Better for All" forum with less rules about what can and can't be posted there, and then use the synthesis of the process to achieve real progress. Mods can be hardcore about what they allow there and don't--anyone just complaining can be locked, but anyone bringing up serious issues should be at least given some courtesy as a paying customer.

OK, I'm stumped -- I can't think of one example of anything that fits the above description.

Is this a solution in search of a problem?

If a suggestion is locked as NGTH, it means that Bort and/or Catch have seen it personally and have said it's NGTH (which is really just, not going to happen in the foreseeable future)

There has been private forums for venting, or complaints etc, there will never be a public one

have you tried using the game discussion forum. If OP is worded in such a way, things don't get locked as fast. If the OP is a 4 paragraph rant on how stupid the mechanics are etc it's likely to get locked

I guess what I really like to see a process that is more holistic about fixing or improving the game, especially since its still in beta and we're all essentially testers for GLB. I'm not 100% sure how that can be done.

Bugs is largely limited to very technical issues...suggestions is limited by NGTH (I personally don't see any issue with allowing discussion of things Bort of Catch say are NGTH, so long as the posters know that's the ruling) and by cognitive dissonance and personal self-interest (if someone has a build that's benefiting from, for example, a certain VA working a certain way, they're going to shoot down any suggestion, no matter how valid, to fix it)... GLB main doesn't allow "game is broken" discussions. All of these limitations and compartmentalizations of discussion lead to threads getting locked thereby ending all chance of discussion of the root issues and sometimes feels like mods have to "pass-the-buck" with these issues (again, they're following the rules they've been given, so not faulting them, but the process as a whole).

It seems like it would be beneficial to somehow be able to bring all of these things together in one place under a team of cross-functional moderators so that issues/complaints of PAYING CUSTOMERS can be discussed and addressed openly for the good of all the players and the game.

So what I'm suggesting here is blazing new pathways to progress, growth and hope for all of GLB; a new paradigm in how problems are identified and solved, embodied by working together in a spirit of harmony and teamwork; one that would bring together all the stakeholders and find common ground for the common good.

Like the 11 men on the field we simulate--everyone (agents, mods, admins) has different roles, different backgrounds and different things to offer, but only by working together as a team can they win the game.
