I post this in case this apparent bug is a "working as intended".

My FS was set to cover the HB Weak, the FB Weak and then FB and then drop to Zone.

Yeah I know, not sure what was going on that I tacked it on like that but there it is. The idea was he would cover the HB or FB weak and then I decided he could cross over to cover the FB strong if need be, could just have posted HBWk FB but didnt. Still, it should work the way its set up.

Instead when the HB and FB went strong, the FS dropped to zone. He skipped over the FB assignment.

Not sure why. I presume because the FBweak bugged the system. But it cost me three TDs or so in a playoff game and Much Loss.

So, in case its a feature, if a prior selection in a coverage check down renders a subsequent check down invalid, please grey out or remove that selection. Silly DCs everywhere would appreciate it.

EDIT I am thinking I did this because originally I may have had something in between the FB weak/strong and the FB, ie a third assignment like TE for the MLB or something and then deleted it but bumped the FB one up rather than delete the FBWeak.

I would like to think this would have worked--problem might be vision checks?

Is the HB going weak? no...
Is the FB going weak? no...
Is the FB doing anything? hmm... i failed the vision check and don't see him WAY over there...

Really hard to tell, though, unless you link some replays.

If you're correct (and I doubt it) that a FB weak cover assignment nullifies a FB (anywhere) assignment, then that is either a bug or something that should be changed. In most cases, because of the limits of where he FS can line up, that ANY strong side coverage responsibility is going to be too late for him to react to without giving up some major yardage.

It might also be that somewhere else in the play you've assigned someone to cover the FB strong that supersedes the FS.

The top three all suffer from the problem I mention and it happened every time. The FS's in question have good vision. Its not a vision check thing, and its not a distance thing as I have had players grab from that distance before. Its either a feature or a bug with double stacking the same receiver.

Oh I should note here that this can be locked. Its a Bug per Bug forum.
