Underdog Game of the Week
The GlobeDotters: GoatLocker’s Thugs @ Komodo Dragon
GGT, you're the underdog, just wanted to make that clear. Komodo has nothing to fear in this game, or do they? They've proven that they belong at the top of Zeta. All these seasons of skepticism from Jack Riley has finally payed off...or has it? The best game that Komodo has had so far in terms of competitiveness was against DDVD, who hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning in Zeta this season. GGT's only losses are against Sumatra & Cheers, although they haven't had much competitiveness in their opponents beyond that either. So I'll give Komodo a free pass. This game is going to be close and if GGT can pull off an upset, they may make Komodo look like frauds, if they can't, no one will be surprised because they're playing the 5-0 Komodo.
Balanced Game of the Week
OffTopica Miracle @ Banzai Pipeline ‘Nites
I have a ton of respect for both teams. They've both done a great job keeping their teams competitive and OTM has been great over the last few seasons in terms of progression. Having said that, OTM's one loss looks a lot worse than BPN's one loss. I don't think that'll factor in much here though. They'll play each other close and this one will be a blood bath as though we were watching a rerun of the Boston Massacre.
Powerhouse Game of the Week
Deadwood Mules @ Sumatra Seahawks
We've seen this one before, the Mules took this one if I recall way back in the day (like 2 seasons ago). Both of these teams are very very good. Sumatra would like you to believe they're not a threat.. of course they would like you to believe that so that you overlook them on their way back to World League. But no one in this league is as stupid as they clearly think you all are. Deadwood has been a force for a few seasons now here in OPL. They just haven't been able to get over that last leg in the League. This should be another great game. I'm going to call it a Rivalry. Because I can, you got a problem with that? Too Bad, enjoy the freakin' game!
Oceania Pro League Alpha Conference Tostito-Goal Game of the Week
Axis: Pinoy All Stars 2 @ SWAT City Vigilantes
With SCV's only loss being to Carthage, they are looking pretty good right now, Carthage may not be at the top of things, but they are having a respectable season. Axis is being dominant as always, this might just be their year to win it all. Both of these teams are expected to be serious threats in the playoffs. Get over it. It's not the playoffs yet and this game still matters, don't take this for granted as though you deserve a free pass. This game is going to be very close I think and both teams have top notch gameplanning. Someone's going to screw it up though, so who will it be?
Oceania Pro League Zeta Conference PowerZone Game of the Week
Razorback Nation @ Texas Hogsnakes
Razorback Nation is coming off of a close fought victory over the Carribean Voodoo, perhaps closer than it ever should have been. Texas is coming off a loss against the Mayan Flood, some would argue, a loss that should never have happened. Both of these teams have something to prove this week, that being, are they really top dogs in Zeta? Or are they the best that the weak have to offer?
