Oceania Pro League Week 4

Underdog Game of the Week

South Bend Rhinocopters @ Booty Bay Bandits

There probably isn't anything to lead us to believe SBR is going to win this one. They continue to suffer from chemistry issues and they are 0-2. Booty Bay has been able to start above the Radar for now, but really we're still trying to find out if they are legit or if their opposition has just benefited from a weak opponent. If SBR is going to right the ship, now is the time. Booty Bay however can take advantage of this game and at least for another week give everyone the sense that they have something to say about a playoff spot.

Middle of the Road Game of the Week

Banzai Pipeline 'Nites @ Carthage Mad Clash

Definitely two solid teams here in Alpha. Alpha is loaded with high quality talent, which makes the entire conference scary good. This game is going to be extremely close but in the end, I think both of these teams are going to punch a playoff ticket.

Balanced Game of the Week

Sumatra Seahawks @ The GlobeDotters: GoatLocker's Thugs

I definitely think the Thugs are a lot closer to Sumatra than most may think. Sumatra has yet to get tested this season, I think we all believe they're going deep into the playoffs but the fact is, they've not played a legit contender yet this season. The Thugs might be their first, of course, they could also just be the next victim. The Thugs really need to make a statement here and pick up a major win.

Powerhouse Game of the Week

Orlando Prime Timers @1:30 OffTopica Miracle

OTM. Is finally they've coming into their own. They have established themselves as a serious threat in Alpha. OPT has been known for high energy performances. Expect nothing different from either ox these two teams. This week, regardless of the outcome, they'll both have a lot to show in terms of strengths and weaknesses. This game is not going to send a message to people how unable they are, it is going to make their case that much stronger.

Oceania Pro League Alpha Conference Tostito-Goal Game of the Week

The GlobeDotters: Eastern Anubis Gurupies @ Grocery Baggers

Both of these teams have maintained and extremely high level of play and an inability to lose. Obviously one of these teams is going to have one loss after this game but these teams are both among the elite at the moment in Alpha. Definitely playoff likely, these teams know what it means to dominate. However in this game, dominating may be difficult, I expect a defensive struggle in this game with fourth quarter heart pounding finish.

Oceania Pro League Zeta Conference PowerZone Game of the Week

Diamond Valley Devil Drivers @ Komodo Dragon

Komodo has been up in the top the last few seasons and DVDD is definitely an up & comer. They have an opportunity to make a statement even if they lose here as long as they can keep it close. Komodo NEEDS this win to keep the 'legit' tag on their side. For both of these teams, this game is a "Put up or Shut up" situation.

Komodo will definitely reap the benefits of that great win in my future write-ups.
