I have never built a pass blocking O-Lineman before, nor have I built a player with the new aging system. It has been about 16 seasons since I started the last player that I fully built up. I did blocking first in this build. I don't know if I should have done agility. Also, where should EQ be... agility... blocking?

Should I have capped something higher? Should I have started with agility? Should I retire my current guy and replace his initial SP into agility?

EDIT: Just realized that I left the training in the 90%'s... (assume all of those are around 0 and all of the skills are 1 higher if that makes a difference for you)
EDIT2: Oh yeah, I forgot about BT. How many do I need to have 4 pieces of fully upgraded, good AEQ?

Here is what I got from the VPB:
Player Build

In the current sim that LT would probably need most if not all EQ in strength.

I'd get speed to a higher cap too. 75 minimum. Add some more SAs too, Get Low, First Step maybe.

That can easily be done, just try a few more times using the VPB

1624 BTs should be enough, no need to worry about that. Just shop a few times for +3 strength ... and one +5% HB chance. Don't buy Get Low / First Step pieces in the shop (unless they are attached to a +3)

I also have a NT here (all EQ in str). I went through the VPB really quickly and I think I might have missed a couple boosts. I am a little bit more sure about his build, but here it is anyway incase anyone has a suggestion:

Player Build

If your end build plan is retirement in Pros then both work. But they both could be alot better.

jumping : 6
stamina : 65.5
vision : 70.1
confidence : 64.1

Bottom SA Tree: | 1 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 0 | (10 in cut block with equipment)

The big question is do you put 8 pts of equipment into agility to get it to 110 or do you put all of it in strength

+21% hbc with equipment

I know I'm in the minority, but I think that in the sim right now, speed is actually a big liability on OTs. I saw both my guys get much worse in pass protection when I added a lot of speed to them. Here's what I came up with, although I think I'll stop a little earlier on blocking and go harder in strength.

Attributes:
strength : 92
speed : 63
agility : 105.06
stamina : 63
vision : 52.06
confidence : 80.06
blocking : 99.06

Was it first step or too much attribute speed ? And I somewhat agree. Pass protection on the left side was a lil wonky last season.

Both. First Step was a more exaggerated problem, but the biggest issue is that Bort coded them to drop back ridiculously far when it's no longer possible to speed-rush off the end the way you could in the old DPC.

I redid the NT so that I didn't miss any boosts in the VPB. What should I do to make him better...?

You need more SAs.

Agility needs to be higher. Like 100 natural. Tackling is a lil low and should be slightly higher. Vision is too high. Strive for 60ish.

And 4 AEQ I hope is your goal.

If I find time late tonight I'll post a VPB. Maybe that will help.

I like higher vision but 80 is probably a little bit of overkill. It might work out for you though.

I'd like to see higher agility and I'd probably go 4/4 on the SA rather than 6/2 since you are probably putting equipment in both.

You have the right idea, your training just doesn't seem to be as efficient as it should be.

Four way multi-train three of your main attributes for most of the dot's lifespan. For an offensive lineman that would be strength, agility, and blocking. Then you can rotate the free first choice between speed, stamina, vision, and confidence. For a defensive linemen, you want to focus on strength, agility, and speed. You can rotate the free first choice between vision, tackling, stamina, and confidence. By multi-training those main attributes even after you've finished putting skill points in them, you get them to higher levels than you otherwise could.

4 AEQ build. 1425 tokens. 225 tokens to shop for 4 pieces. Fairly tight.

Attributes:
strength : 101.06 (+58) = 159 strength
speed : 81
agility : 97.08
jumping : 10
stamina : 61
vision : 69.07
confidence : 50
blocking : 8
throwing : 8
catching : 8
carrying : 8
tackling : 86.07
kicking : 8
punting : 8

About 39-40 skill points for SAs.

I would really like to get agility to 100 but this is just a rough draft. 160 strength would also be better than 159. *sigh*

Confidence a little low but could actually go with less speed to fix that.

EDIT: Oh and Player Value = 1390.37 which I believe is one of the highest builds w/ 4 AEQ on the DT side. Actually from what I figured out this would be better than probably all the archtype builds presently close to capping.

EL and player value are meaningless if the dot doesn't have the will to win and a competitive nature. It's all about big heart.
