Agility is what I'm working first. I plan on quad training speed which is a secondary.

Catching should be your first priority, not Agility

Thats just idiotic..............in 3rd and short and goal line situations a possession receiver vs a CB in single coverage is an automatic first down/TD

I'd go agility first. You'll need to be more agile than the CB to get separation since you won't beat him with speed. You don't see any SP wars between WR and CB to see who can out catch the other by taking the most catching.

I must have missed the AI change where you can sub a possession WR in solely on 3rd and goal situations so he doesn't hurt your team for the other two downs and longer situations.

how effective is a high jump/catch Poss/wr these days?

So far the agility is giving good separation on all come backs. I know I took a chance on a pos wr but I wanted a different challenge. I plan on including speed in the quad but that will leave 2 majors out [ vision and carry]. Agl, speed, jump and catch seem to make the most sense.

You also missed the part where you can set them at specific slots in the depth chart and create packages and progressions to target that WR in certain ways. Sure... Defenses can adjust to this, but you just move them around and have a new AI to change DC spots and how they're targeted. I'm making it work with just one possession WR on a team in local minors, he has a nasty targets to reception ratio.

High catching and jumping is key.

Agility will only gain you separation on routes with lots of cuts or direction changes. Comebacks are working well for all receivers this season. Get jumping and catching up and he'll become a reliable target when in single coverage.

So you think he's ok if i neglect speed?

Thanks

No, you're gonna want 130+ speed at end build for a possession receiver. You can neglect it for now or do it later, but at some point you need to get it to the upper 70's end build and put all EQ in speed.

140+ minimum. Honestly with the new apd that's slow.

High catching and jumping isn't really key in the current sim either. You need separation first to get the roll to win.
