Should look something like this in 2 seasons

strength : 96.51 +49 - 145.51
speed : 95.36 +3 - 98.36
agility : 97.96 +3 - 100.96
jumping : 30
stamina : 62.31
vision : 76.96
confidence : 49.91
tackling : 69.56

shed block 10 (AEQ)
first step 10 (AEQ)

+21% BB (AEQ + CEQ)

I don't think speed is that useful at DT. Pretty much the only time it would come into play is if you reverse pancake your blocker and no other blockers are close enough to engage you quickly. I'd rather push strength & agility to even crazier levels.

So something more like

strength : 102.99 + 47 - 149.99
speed : 68.91
agility : 100.33 + 8 - 108.33
jumping : 33
stamina : 68.91
vision : 79.69
confidence : 57.57
tackling : 68.99

Bottom SA Tree: | 12 | 12 | 1| 1 | 1|

I think both of those builds would be effective.

Wow, that hurt speed more than I would have thought.

I have not seen a DT where investment past 70 in spd actually proved to be worth it in 10+ seasons.

There is this build which is pretty much another plug in the LOS

Attributes:
strength : 101.36 +48 - 149.36
speed : 84.2
tackling : 77.36
agility : 95.36 + 6 - 101.36
jumping : 25
stamina : 61.2
vision : 70.2
confidence : 49.2

Top SA Tree: | 4 | 8 | 2 | 10 | 0 |
Bottom SA Tree: | 6 | 7 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Additional SA Tree: | 10 |

I would personally switch the speed/tackling.

Rage had some compelling data suggesting that tackling doesn't mean a whole lot for defensive linemen.

lol... I bet that with many DT's we could suggest that kicking is just as important as many attributes given that all well built DT's play pmuch the same.

I just have decided to stick to the BB roll and tackle radius. Chasing anything else for me seemed fruitless.

Well the first one could make a pretty decent stop if he doesn't work at DT

Still hoping I can hit a combo of speed, first step, high vision, and jump the snap that actually gets decent results

The second one is probably the best build of the 3 for the SIM we've had the past 8 seasons

What's really sad is that the second one is probably the best pass rushing build of the 3

My former DT Randy White (#8 HOF DT) would disagree with that statement. That being said, since the nerfing of the DT, you are probably right about current DT's.

That nerfing was about 10 seasons ago. S15 was probably the last season you could hope for big stats from a DT.
