Gold Goast and Sumatra have played once before in the playoffs. A season 21 second round battle that the Seahawks won by a FGon their way back to the World League:

This game was shaping up to be another nail-biter, let's take a look at the action:
Sumatra got the ball first and moved right down the field. The big play was a 28-yard strike from Adara Michales to Seal King McDonald:

The Vipers took over and almost gave the Seahawks great field position with Diego Facepalm forced Matt Anderson to cough up the ball, but C expt2 jumped on it:

The Vipers steadily drove until they reached the Seahawks 39-yard line where Green Elf Shot the Food deflected this 3rd down pass:

Gold Coast built on that momentum when Ima Force blind-sided Adara knocking the ball loose and Mad Stork Hendricks jumped on it:

Taking over on Sumatra's 9-yard line it was just a few plays later that Dimmy Finster V carried the ball into the end-zone and the Vipers into the lead:

The home crowd was silenced but still confident. They were encouraged when this 25-yard connection from Adara to McDonald setup a FG to cut the lead to four:

Sumatra used the crowd noise to force a three and out from GCV. Then using some tough running and some precision passing by Adara, the team took the lead. First a 16-yard connection to lolwtf bbq on 2nd and 14:

GCV wasted little time answering thanks to these 20+ yard connections from Cochran to WR3:
