Found this guy using the open build script. Was very suprised to see the amount of current non retired open builds in World League, but was even more suprised to find a HB. Also found a QB with a open build in WL. I'm kinda pumped. But anyway. I copied and pasted the printer friendly version of the build and removed the player name for obvious reasons. This is not my guy or anyone I know. Its good to actually see a current open build in WL to actually see what it takes without just listening to people on the forums blabber about just there players. Safe to say in the near future 150 Speed will be mediocre or average. 160 is considered fast.

That was my knee jerk too...

But if you think about HB's... conceptually and from a team standpoint you really just want your elusive back to be able to catch and be the fastest guy around. So that when he goes outside and his blocks are set as they should be he doesn't get caught from behind.

73 is quite a lot for still achieving almost 160 speed.

Why bother getting a dot loaded up on SA's and flashy moves when you really just need a guy who can get downfield and get to the end zone when the blocks are held. That's the freakin nail in the coffin. People have always said Speed kills, and now I understand more and more. For an elusive threat, speed is everything. Everything else should come secondary. I would imagine speed will move up to about 156 with EQ, possibly even more if you can find agents willing to ignore Certain SA's in lieu of more speed.

It's all about getting the blocks set. Good blockers, open the lanes and you just need Casey Anthony up at HB to murder those bitches.

I agree with you for the most part, although I do like being able to break a fair amount of tackles as well. And I can see plenty of HBs being above 156 before VA's. My current HB will finish just above 156 and probably get track star for 160+, while also having 80+ carrying, much more strength than that guy, capped catching, slightly higher SA investment. And my dude was built on day 10 and will only reach 72, and could've been built better.

I don't see many guys going completely insane on spd like some blitzing lb's and getting 170+ spd, since hb's have a need for their secondaries to be a little higher, but I can certainly see 165+ with decent secondaries. Not even sure that'll be fast enough in WL in 5ish seasons unless you have blockers to match it.

To my picturing 165+ spd backs or it not being enough unless you can break a large number of tackles? I can VPB a dude with 165 spd/90 agi/85 carrying/65 stamina and first capped at other secondary/tertiary stats and I'm sure others could push that even farther, but if you meant that not being enough, I guess I'm just picturing a lot of future defensive dots going to some extremes with spd themselves. I can see an hb doomsday scenario where every LB in the future will be 155-160+ spd/75 tackle, and every CB will have 60+ tackling with DVG where I'll be punished for taking my hb's strength higher than the typical first capped scatback. Already seeing signs of that and he's only in regional pro

It was the "may not be enough" part that I lol'd over. I have no doubt that there will be 165+ HBs.

Build could be a little more efficient, but definitely a solid design.
