My goal is to make a back that can get two to three yards up the middle every time.
Basically keep the Ds honest.
I am at a cross roads and I am not sure if I should put my points on Carrying or in Vision.
But I am open to any suggestions.
Thanks

Yea, agreed. Nowadays, a lot of OC's are wanting power backs that can attack the line quick. It's not unheard of to see power backs with ~120 speed.

For vision, I wouldn't go higher than the 2/1 cap for a power back. Get carrying to 80. Hell, I didn't even take vision past 2/1 on one of my return men and he ended up being ranked #29 on the overall ST's HoF list, so I don't see the need taking it higher for a power back attacking up the middle. Just keep concentrating on the caps, procrastinate on the SA's, and you'll do great.

Yea I say past 40 vis on a power back is a waist. I got it 40 just for SYM.

Unfortunately power RB's just aren't a very glamorous position at all anymore. Especially now with the AEQ nerfs completely critically striking their viability.
Elusive/Combo backs with Spin will break just as many tackles but they'll have the speed and acceleration to get separation after the tackle breaks.

And as such, it's a good idea to get some speed. The whole "slow down to snails pace when going through the line if you are holding the ball" also really hurt them.

Until Elusive/Combo will be nerfed again, etc. etc.

I expect to see a day where the running game can't decide games because running backs fall down on their own every play from a defensive player glaring at them. Then Glare will be the best SA for defenders and it'll be a WWE match where the people's eyebrow is overused.
