THE WEST
1. Chi Ho V 8. Covington Black Nights
The undefeated Hogs come enter the playoffs as the 1 Seed and the overwhelming favorite to come out of the West in USA PRO. Aside from a 47 point squaker over RIRW no team kept it within 50 points of Wise squad. With two HB's totaling over 3,200 yds and a QB that threw for 8,300 the Offense is explosive. The D has been equally impressive not allowing over 24 points in any league game.
At 9-7 Covington gets the last seed in the West and the honor of being the Hogs first victim. Hard to find many positives in the first match up between these two for Knights....Oh I have one, the Punter averaged 51.9 per kick
Chi Ho wins 88-10
2. South Georgia Growl V 7. CCIA.
Dawgs Growl roll into the Playoffs on a 6 game win streak. In that run was a solid 21 point win over the CCAI squad they face tomorrow. The Growl have a very balanced attack led by a three pronged HB assault that accounted for 4,800 yds on the ground. The Growl's D was steady all season-except the Chi Ho beatdown-and should be tough as always in these playoffs.
CCIA Won the Tie Breaker and got the 7th seed so at least they won't get stomped in round 1. I don't think CCIA has the guns to knock off the Growl but they should be able to keep it respectable.
Growl win 42-17
3. Monmouth Evil Monkeys V 6. San Francisco Webzoners.
Monmouth bounced back from the 15 point ass whipping put on them by the Growl to win their final 7 games. A well balanced offense and steady D have been the keys to a solid but far from spectacular Evil Monkey season. Hopefully their DC comes out of his self imposed exile and actually puts in a game plan for the Playoffs or this could be a short lived post season.
What the hell is a Webzoner. I needs to know. San Fran has had an up and down season...After a brutal opening loss to K.O.B.s squad Beating the teams they should have and making a game of it against the rest-except for the Hogmachine.
Evil Monkeys win 38-21
4. Washington Bullets V 5 Rhode Island Red Wolves
Snyder and his faithful Monkey have put together a very nice season. Two big Ws against the Growl and RIRW were the high points BUT an upset loss to SF hurt them for playoff position. Two Good HB's and an offensive force at FB make their ground attack very potent.
RIRW is OLD BUT good. They played the Bullets tough the first time out and this game should be a real toss up.
RIRW wins 21-20
