I'm talking backs pushing 70 agility at level 20, with maybe 40 speed at MOST (maybe even as low as 35), with 50+ vision being a must. This isn't a back designed to make it through defenses and break away, it's designed for outside runs that get reliable yds/carry. Would this work? Do you need to whore speed to be a good elusive back, or would a build similar (if not similar, than just having the same stat priorities: agi>vis>spd) to this be effective against similar leveled opponents?

I've got a level 4 HB on track for this right now so he's still at the point where I can pretty much go as far as making him a power back if I wanted. I can't tell anything from his results because he's been growing up in the D leagues playing on relaxed intensity. Anyone brought this philosophy to a higher level? How often do you get a good head fake or juke?

I love the idea. Don't forget about confidence and carrying. I would imagine loading up on the SAs would be a good idea, too. All that agility would make your evading SAs deadly.

My RB has 48 speed/51 agi right now and I plan on going all agi/vision the rest of the way.

I have a similar build as this and I am still waiting to break someone's ankles. Think I should increase my SAs to an extreme level or just continue with attributes?

What some people fail to realize is that when you increase your speed stat, your speed on the field doesn't increase linearly with it. Meaning, a 100-speed back will not even be close to twice as fast as a 50-speed back, etc. Speed is great for return guys, sure, because blocks can only be held for so long on ST, and the more you make out of the time you've got while being blocked for, the better. The thing about agility though, that seems to make it more worthwhile raising up higher, is that it may not increase linearly with your "agility" on the field (who knows, even, maybe it does) but it does help you pull off those special abilities.
With more speed-heavy players I feel like they can be successful if they get a great block here or there, but if you put them out on there own against 2 CBs and a Safety I'd have to figure the agility back is sacrificing what's basically a marginal difference in speed for a chance to pull off something crazy.

What I'm realizing with my speed back (53 spd, 43 agl) is that if your blocking is slow, you'll outrun your blockers at the beginning of the play...so it doesn't matter how fast you are if you're going to just run straight into the defense at the beginning...so make sure your team can keep up with you.

I m just beginning at HB. I think 35 to 40 speed may be too slow and i would pla to get 50, even if you want a agility back. To break outside you ll need that speed imo.

They would do a lot better if blocking schemes on outside runs worked. For some reason the TE/OT either stand in the middle of nowhere while the DE gets a free run at the HB, or they both block the same guy, leaving the LB untouched.

This guy is Lv.13 playing against 17-19 D.

I think it's stupid to build an agile slow guy.

That was just a retarded defense. Has nothing to do with the RB.
