Have you seen a marked increase in performance from taking catching that high?

Could you give me something more than yes?
Maybe comparisons between similar receivers, or the affect catching has on catching radius or completion to drop %.

I have a receiver with 72.3 catching (+22% catch ball %) 0 drops and 49 receptions. If someone can conclusively convince me than 8+ more points of catching would combat PD's better than the same investment in jumping I'd be more than willing to listen to them. However I've noticed a few incomplete passes (~4-7 this season) where the ball was overthrown, if someone could provide me with proof that more catching would help with that I'd be happy to oblige. But simply saying "Yes" isn't going to mean a good godamn in this game.

what bhall is getting at is that the 80 catching will increase your WR's ability to catch in traffic which in the top leagues in the game is extremely important. It's not about the ability to catch a ball wide open.... a dude with 50 catching can do that. It's when your guy is blanketed by 1 to 3 guys and still having the ability to win the catch ball roll.

how much of that is catching and how much is jumping/str/other things that effect the catch ball roll? Always been curious how much catching actually plays when determining the catch/PD portion of a play as opposed to the other attributes.

So basically, if you want your player on a WL team or top 2/3 National Pro team, 80 is a good place to start.

The problem with this game is that it is difficult to measure what level is needed. One day you'll go 5/5 or 9/12 against a mediocre team, the next day you'll play a top team and go 1/7 or 3/10. If teams faced even competition for a full 16 games, it would be a lot easier to find the perfect sweet spot for catching.

Yeah, 75 would be the min for a Speedster. 80 would be much better, obviously with Make Catch % piece.

Take Catching up to 100 and Jumping to 90 and they become impossible to cover
