I'm up in the air with this guy. He really started as a player where I just wanted to experiment with some training upgrades early in his career, so he hasn't been "perfectly" built and there's been some BT and training days wasted here and there as I tried different things, so every time I look at him I just think about how much better he could be.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2161036

Final goal for all of my players is to be able to play in the WL. If he won't be good enough to make it there, I might as well retire him now.

Plus I'd like to use his flex to build a new HB, so that makes me a little more biased towards the "retire" side.

I did the math and at this point he will *barely* have enough tokens for 4 pieces if I train him on light the rest of his career. I always do my math using 10 days of offseason because it's usually around 5-post 5-pre, and doing it that way he only came up 6 BTs short, and I'm sure there will be at least one offseason longer then that.

So with where he is now, what do ya'll think? Keep him because he's WL material, or go ahead and retire him because he's not quite where he needs to be?

If you already need to light train at those numbers, retire. IIRC, even going for 4 AEQ with enhancements, you should be able to finished your first two attributes and cap 2-3 others before you need to light train.

Considering it is always 8 days post and 8 days pre, I am confused as to why you think it is 5 and 5

Lately it has but not always. Good to lowball it.

As for the build it isn't that bad and might be worth keeping. I matched it up with my WR and I believe theirs a 30 point difference. Surprised you did strength instead of carrying ... but anyways if World League is your plan I would think this dot would be good enough.

As for four pieces of AEQ .... I don't know. Some positions should have four more than others. You will still make about 1050 tokens if you light train now. 240 a piece ...thats 480 for the next two. Say 120 tokens to buy both. 600. About 225 needed to finish off the orginal two you got ....from what I got you still have two years of four attribute training if you go with 4 AEQ.

Believe thats right which is more than enough to get you ready for light training.

I usually spend the first 2 seasons worth of bt's on upgrades and purchasing shit.
I then save every bt afterwards and usually end up only needing to light train at level 50

Ok, let me run the math again. Going to actually type it out this time.

BTs left to earn:

440d - 192d = 248d

6 seasons x 10 offseason days = 60d

248d + 60d = 308d x 3 = 924 BT + 70 I currently have = 994 BT

BTs left to finish 4 pieces. Im assuming at least one expensive piece and one cheap piece, haven't decided on which bonuses to use yet.

Piece 1 = 120 BT
Piece 2 = 120 BT
Piece 3 = 100 BT + 240 BT = 340
Piece 4 = 55 BT + 240 BT = 295

340 + 295 + 120 + 120 = 875 BT

By jove you're right.

994 BT - 875 BT = 119 BT / 3 = 39.66 days

So I can technically go 40 days without gaining any BTs. 4-way gets you 6 BTs every 8 days, which is the equivalent of light training 2 days then missing 6 days, which I can miss 6 days 7 times (Technically 6.67 days, but fudging the numbers a bit since I only use 10 days for offseason), meaning I can 4-way attribute train for 56 days before switching to light.

Something I didn't factor in is that I would still need to pay 45 BTs to add carrying and jumping to multi, so

875 BT + 45 BT = 920 BT
994 BT - 920 BT = 74 BT / 3 = 24 days.

So now I'm down to only missing 24 days, or 32 days of multi training.

Ugh, you see my predicament here with this guy? Because I bought speed and strength for multi early on it's made everything I need to do with him now too damn expensive, not to mention the BTs I wasted on him. I know he needs more multi-training time, but I probably need to give up the 4th piece to get him there. Plus like you said, strength instead of carrying = wtf was I thinking.

Instead of purchasing carrying and jumping on your multi train, switch it over to normal training instead. You don't want to spend 45 bt's to multi train 4x...
