Then don't bother with WL aspirations.

From what I have seen the most sacks by a WL DT through 15 games is 3.

All the DTs combined in WL Alpha have combined for a total of 33 sacks. The most by any 1 team is 5. 8 of 16 teams have 0 or 1 DT sack. 3 more teams have a total of 2.

The most hurries by a DT in Alpha is 17 with 0 sacks. Then it drops to 12 and the most sacks any of those DTs has is 2.

In Zeta this DT is setting the bar for pass rushing numbers http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1272676 with 22 hurries and 2 sacks.

Zeta is booming over Alpha in terms of DT sacks. The 16 teams combined for a total of 41 DT sacks. EEA was the only WL team with over 5 compiling a whopping 7. 6 of those 7 came late in the 4th quarter after the game had already been decided, though.

So in total, DTs accounted for 74 of 1,534 WL sacks. or 4.8%.

The top 3 players in sacks by position

LB - 44, 27, 26 (this is more than all 125+ WL DTs combined)
DE - 21, 21, 20 (you need 4 DEs to beat the 125+ WL DTs combined total)
CB - 21, 19, 18 (you need 5 CBs to beat the 125+ WL DTs)
DT - 3, 3, 3

We already know a 100 speed 140 strength DT is not out there, its the only way..... keep building 100 agility 140 strength.......

You have to have enough strength + agility to break the block quick enough for the speed to even come into play. That number is 240+.

DEs can get by with lower strength + agility numbers because OT ALGs were crap compared to OG and C ALGs, DEs have room to move on the outside, and DEs have better natural SAs for pass rushing.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2024191 - By the time I'm done with this one, he will be 140/99/99 with 76 vision, going against AT Cs and Gs. I still doubt he does anything when it comes to pass rushing.

Pockets don't collapse and QB can usually retreat 6+ yards before getting touched with no penalty to pass accuracy

And the limitations to the DPC has prevented positioning them so they can get better leverage vs. the player who will be blocking them.

My NT has 3 sacks in WL Alpha. Funny thing is he's not even built like a pass rusher. I didn't know that was tied for 1st among DTs.

I heard that jdbolick has been saying for a while now that the importance of agility needed to be boosted in both breaking and holding pass blocks.

DTs are just OTs for the defense, make them 100 flex.

Who really builds a pass rushing DT, and who would even want one? I have a run stuffer with 4 sacks but that is just a bonus.

Shouldn't that be fixed with the new ALGs though?
