i have seen some suggestions that confidence plays a part in making tackles and forcing fumbles but not much indication on how high it needs to be (assume it will help with aura and snarl VAs as well) - would second or third level cap be too much or is that much confidence needed anyway to play at the higher levels - any thoughts?

I haven't seen it help past softcap.
It doesn't help directly, but morale at the time of the tackle plays a significant role in the FF/make tackle roll. But having confidence at 48-55 is enough to not take too big of a morale hit when stuff happens... especially since morale is relative to other players, and if you all have the same amount of confidence, you'll relatively perform the same in close matches, so there is no need to increase it, especially when that comes at the cost of other attributes.

Confidence has no effect on aura and snarl.
Aura and snarl have no effect (as far as i can tell).

thanks guys - glad i won't be wasting points in confidence - now just have to figure out where to put the points if aura and snarl are not going to help either

I like this combo also Change of Direction is nice for a Hard Hitter.
