Top 10

1 - Asau Pirates (2-0) - As expected, Asau coasted to an easy win over WoO. Finally their #1 ranking will be challenged this week as they try to avoid being noodled against Syracuse. Last time these two teams met in an OPL regular season game Asau was blown out 48-20 at home. Next Opponent: Syracuse Synergy (prediction: Asau by 17)

2 - Indianapolis Gurupies (2-0) - Indy cruised to another easy win against a young Scorpion team. I think we all probably expected a larger margin of victory but its always tough to gauge level of cares in these types of games (no disrespect to SDS). Going to keep the Gurupies here another week but other teams are narrowing the gap. In fact, they might just be keeping the seed warm with GCMM having another strong matchup this week. Next Opponent: Black Sea Storage (prediction: Indy by a lot)

3 - Gold Coast Michelin Men (2-0) - Huge win for GCMM against Kingston, despite losing the turnover battle 5-2. The game really wasnt a close as the final score may indicate. They took advantage of a great opportunity and moved up from #6. That said, no time to celebrate for GCMM this week as they face another top 10 team in Banzai. No doubt they have this game circled after Banzai spanked them in the regular season last year. Next Opponent: Banzai Pipeline 'Nites (prediction: GCMM by 10)

4 - Oregon Ducks (2-0) - Again, I expected a little more out of the Ducks against Guam. That said, with a big win from GCMM I dont think they did enough to hold onto that #3 ranking. That said, they have a big game up next and a chance to show they deserve to move back up. Next Opponent: Gold Coast Vipers (prediction: Oregon by 21

5 - Kingston Uprising (1-1) - Tough welcome back party for Kingston as they fell short on their 4th quarter comeback. Not going to drop them too far as they did manage to make a game out of it and the loss was more a reflection of how strong GCMM is. Up next is a CPU bye week to regroup before facing an old OPL rival. Next Opponent: Sin City Silent Assassins (prediction: Kingston by a lot)

6 - Banzai Pipeline 'Nites (2-0) - Strong win for Banzai over Stockholm this week. They lose a spot only because of the statement win by GCMM, but get a chance to steal it right back in their game against GCMM this week. Much has changed with GCMM since their matchup last season. This is one of those big games that Banzai tends to fall just short in and prevent a higher ranking. Next Opponent: Gold Coast Michelin Men (prediction: GCMM bye 10)

7 - Syracuse Synergy (2-0) - Another easy win for Syracuse. They will get their shot to show they have been underrated this season by taking on the #1 seed. Next Opponent: Asau Pirates (prediction: Asau by 17)

8 - Stockholm Black Death (1-1) - Tough loss for Stockholm this week in what looked like a very winnable game and a chance to move up. This is a power ranking and not a ranking based on record so I am going to keep them here for another week. It make be short lived, however, with the Voodoo up next. Next Opponent: Hong Kong Voodoo (prediction: Stockholm by 7)

9 - Hong Kong Voodoo (2-0) - Looks like no one has slept on Hong Kong so far. In fact, Tampa just might be the sleeper this season as they almost stole this game until a late 4th quarter surge by Hong Kong. No ranked below them made a strong case to move up so they stay put. Big matchup for them next week and a strong opportunity to move. Next Opponent: Stockholm Black Death (prediction: Stockholm by 7)

10 - Gold Coast Vipers (2-0) - Not much to see here. Their win over LPC was a little closer than exptected but there were no strong statements below them to force them out of the top 10. That said Budapest, Amsterdam and Tampa Bay are joining the mix with Sumatra in pressuring for this last top 10 spot. Not to mention, GCV faces #3 Ducks next. Next Opponent: Oregon Ducks (prediction: Oregon by 21)

The Rest...

11 - Sumatra Seahawks
12 - Budapest Devils
13 - Amsterdam Bulls
14 - Tampa Bay Puganeers
15 - Death Dealers
16 - Kona Gold
17 - Indianola Longhorn Legends
18 - San Diego Supa Chargers
19 - Bora Bora Bangaroos
20 - Lynchburg Party Crashers
21 - OffTopica Miracle
22 - IC Incinerators
23 - Oberon Bulls
24 - Guam Chamoros Rising Sun Devils
25 - Florida BeachDogZ
26 - San Diego Scorpions
27 - Warriors of Oceania
28 - da bears
29 - All Good Things
30 - Sin City Silent Assassins
31 - D-Town Colts
32 - Black Sea Storage

I'm watching these games. 1-0 team takes on 2-0 team while they're playing Stockholm.... no wonder GCMM wins (bye 10? must explain the 1-0 record... they had a bye)

enough making fun though, thanks for these. it's a project just trying to get the OPL vs the world copied and pasted properly with correct records.

I am surprised I didnt make more errors (its usually spelling or leaving out words)...

At least its better than forgetting to change week 1 to week 2 and having a ghost thread...

Better to make a mistake in a league write up than in an OAI. Watching our pocket passer tuck it and run time and time again was painful... and at that point there is nothing you can do but cry.

Oh well.... better to make that mistake now than come playoff time (assuming we get there).

Thank gawd! I was watching saying to myself "this has to be a mistake. they can't seriously think this will fool anyone or gain any yardage!"

Shitty thing to happen but ALWAYS better in the first few games of the season than to sneak up on you in playoffs

Thats what I was thinking too... had actually mentioned it in the writeup but removed it just in case I was wrong.

Look forward to a potential playoff rematch!!

We got it fixed for next game. It's a shame I goofed it up, because the few carries our rushing QB did get were quite effective.

I have been there before, too. I actually made the same mistake in the championship game last season with our top farm team. A pocket QB can only do so much when he is tucking and running. At least your QB did a decent job of hanging on to the ball considering he was getting drilled by some heavy hitting backers.

I'm looking forward to the game against Asau. I didn't follow OPL too closely last season, but they look really solid. We're definitely worse overall than in s19, but we do have some upgrades at certain positions.

I'm afraid of those Lemmond d-linemen.

I'm not a huge fan of Bernie Sensations either. I do, however, enjoy when I get to Buster Pipeline NITEly.
