ALPHA
WuJacks v Nighthawks
WuJacks have had things easy the last season or so, but the always pull out a win in close games... They looked strong against Monarchs, but that offense is stuttering, and failed to put up a TD, and the Defense gave up a safety.
Their saving grace is an infalible Kicker and the most effective set of DBs in WEPL.
Nighthawks are a team on the decline, still a stronger side than most, they have the misfortune to be in a Alpha Conference that has several bad match ups for them.
Still a team that you have to take seriously, and always one piece away from challenging.
AWC v London Monarchs
I am now going to be sacked as Monarchs GM, I'm sure.
But back in my power rankings days I always said that AWC were a small change away from greatness, and it looks like it was just a change of name that was needed.
AWC combine a reliable Defense with a potent quick strike Offense, ...I wonder if they got a new Kicker yet
Valhalla Vikings v Paris-AM
Paris tried hard to recruit in the off season, and tactically they are getting there.
But the sheer size of the talent difference is too much for them to overcome.
The loss to Knights in the first game of the season may have sealed their fate.
Vikings should get two straight wins with Knights to follow this game, and then have a tough last half to the season.
Lake Charles Who Dats v Nice Dauphins
Another side that took a few seasons to get it working, Who Dats are now a force in WEPL.
I knew that before they dumped Monarchs out of the Play Offs, and they have gotten a lot stronger since.
Nice have slipped out of serious contention this season, despite their high levels, and big stadium, lack of depth and poor tactics in games have seen them fail at every serious challenge.
They have time to turn it around, and have the building blocks of a truely great team.
Lyon Sharks v Glastonbury Knights
Lyon are a nice team that pose Alpha sides a few problems, and they have the players to be competitive.
Tactically they wernt able to match up to the big names in Alpha last season, but is anyone really surprised to see Freddy Bigarm being such an improved threat this season? If you answered yes, please check the Sharks GMs a little more carefully

Copenhagen Dragons v
FTADragons have shown enough to prove they belong in the WEPL, but they have yet to really reproduce the form that saw them shock Who Dats early on.
FTA are a team that define the Alpha Conference, they look capable of winning 16 games each season, but somehow end up at .500
at 3-3 with 4 easy games remaining, you have to like their chances of a play off place, but they better secure it early because their last two games are tough
Blitzkrieg v E-City Mercs
Mercs are perenial underdogs, and continually finish above .500
Still they will find it tough to upset a Berllin side that are solid all over and pretty deep in talent.
Still interesting to see what ZZ thinks of this time?
Berlin have taken to the Pro's like they always new they belonged, lets see how they fair in the next 4 games, all against solid Alpha Stock.
Blackpool Mountain Lions v
Wembley Warriors Ok, Coach Meryk what happened? You used to be good?
No longer though, and AAA is looming for the Mountain Lions.
Warriors have gotten off to another slow start this season, but they turned it around last season.
This year its a bit different though, as their losses are against legitimate contenders, so Warriors might be a little better than that 3-3 record says.
