The Mountie Bowl

This season the Queen City Black Cats will be hosting the Dallas Longhorns in this seasons final at the Lair. Both teams boast a long history of winning and are no stranger to the big game. The Cats have a good mix of age and youth. The Horns come into the game as the underdogs, being one of the younger teams overall in the league. The Horns have a bit of a salary/morale advantage, but that is more than negated by the boost the Cats will get from playing at home. Both teams have the bankroll, question is did either spend enough on the team to help during the playoffs. If it goes late, that will be a big factor.

QCBC
Total Player Count:
55 (Avg Lv 72)
Avg Player Value:
1097.87 (Effective Lv 74)
Team Ages:
398d - 598d

The Cats cruised through most of the season, their closest opponent not coming within 15 points of them. A team with a solid balanced attack that is difficult to game plan for since both work quite well. The stingy defense was equally good in both defending the run and the pass. They simply do not have many chinks in the armor to exploit. Teeth or claws, either way its gonna hurt.

Keys to the game for the Cats
1. Stop the Run. Nope, not easy vs a team that is so good at it. But they do this, its game over.
2. Early lead. Forcing the Horns to play catchup and into an air war plays into the Cats hands.

Dallas
Total Player Count:
55 (Avg Lv 70)
Avg Player Value:
1065.23 (Effective Lv 74)
Team Ages:
398d - 528d

Dallas had their own version of the running of the Bulls this season. Only falling to both of the league leaders during the regular season. One of which they soundly defeated during the playoffs. The Horns showed the best running attack in the conference if not the league this season, but they are not afraid to put it in the air either. They may be young, but they are good. Thats no bull.

Keys to the game for the Horns
1. Ball Control. Keep that offense on the field and wear the Cats defense down.
2. Keep the game close till late. A long wearing game plays into the Horns hands with its multiple backs to carry the load.

Prediction
Exp Score  Matchup
24 -   16    Queen City Black Cats def. Dallas Longhorns

A closer game than some think it will be, but we have some of the best planners and builders playing this game. A close one, but age before beauty in this game of attrition. Cats show Dallas its better to be Queen than be Herd.

Great season again guys regardless of the outcome. And I promise, no more bad puns etc at least till we get back up. At least not here anyway.

GREAT WRITE UP VORTUS!

This game should be a bit of an epic, I gotta call us LHs with a last minute drive to win it. We just seem to pull them out of the bag int he big games.

Although I wouldnt be at all surprised if we lost by more than 20

QCBC should be a 21 point favorite at a minimum. Realistically they are probably a 30-40 point favorite. We simply don't have the dots to keep up and I didn't feel that way about any of the teams in our conference.

They've beaten everyone in the playoffs by 50+ points and no one was really even that close in the regular season.

I think it will be closer than some think if both go all out. I've no reason to suspect otherwise, so Ill stand by my call.
