Round 1 was all chalk, as the top seeds all advanced. Will Round 2 be more of the same?

Alpha Conference

#1 Cypriot Freedom vs. #4 Gold Coast Michelin Men - GCMM looks like a team on a mission, as they have rattled off 8 straight wins. In round 1, they made a 42 point turnaround as they went from a 18 point regular season loss to a 24 point win. They lost to Cypriot by 28 in the regular season. Can they make another major turnaround and get the upset win? WJ stated he wants another shot at my team, so he will have to do it if he wants that chance this season. In the end, Cypriot is not 6th Street, so I think GCMM is out of luck. Cypriot should continue their march towards perfection, as they pick up their 18th straight win and a trip to the Alpha CCG. Prediction - Cypriot by 17

#2 Devonport Devils vs. #3 Banzai Pipeline Nites - The regular season game between these two teams went down to the wire, with Devonport kicking 2 4th quarter FGs to seal the win. I expect a similarly close outcome this game. Will Banzai get their 2nd helping of revenge for regular season losses and the opportunity to avenge their 3rd? I would not be shocked, but I think Devonport will be victorious this game and get the re-match they want against Cypriot. Prediction - Devonport by 7

---------------------

Zeta Conference

#1 Eastern European Alliance vs. #4 Oregon Ducks - Oregon played EEA relatively close (as close as about anyone) in the regular season. EEA got past the first round, which has been a bugaboo for them the past two postseasons. Thus, I think a portion of their playoff "curse" is gone. In the end, I think EEA is simply too good for Oregon to beat this season. Prediction - EEA by 17

#2 Asau Pirates vs. #3 Sumatra Seahawks - Asau beat Sumatra pretty handily about a week ago. We have seen that regular season != playoffs, so Sumatra certainly has a shot to make a big turnaround. However, much like EEA above, Asau just looks too good to lose this one. Prediction - Asau by 24

-------------------------

There you have it. Round 1 I felt the need to pick an upset, but not so much this time. I'm not saying it won't happen, as all 8 remaining teams are very good. However, I just don't think it will.

Thanks man! Cypriot is a great team so I can't really argue with that but I can say that we feel like winning is a possibility.

I think Sumatra keeps it closer than that, I'm expecting them to come out swinging
