Ok, so a guy in the general EE board was offering up his ranking spreadsheet to anyone willing to do the data entry required...so...I decided to give it a shot. His explanation of the algorithm is here:

It's projecting based on certain criteria.

I think it predicts the future.

Like it says at the top...PROJECTED standings. It takes scores from every game so far, as well as your entire schedule and calculates these rankings. I might do these every other game or so...the formatting takes a while to make it readable on here. Can't just copy and paste.

wow..that is encouraging. Even the computer doesnt think we will score even 1 point all season.

Its ok Torg, by the looks of your team you will just drop to AAA then stay there, you wont drop to AA

And who knows you might make it back up here!

It's just taking what you've done so far. A self proclaimed math expert made the formulas (or formulae, if you prefer). So, I just did the data entry that was required. Meaning, I had to type in every schedule for all 32 teams and the score from every game so far. I'll continue to do this, but as mentioned a couple of posts above, unless I just find myself with a butt load of time in between each game, I'd only expect these every other game or so.

i think this is cool. you'll want to do it every other game. do to upset factor.

Very cool job HoustonMark. It may leave some factors out such as team chemistry and player morale but it seems pretty interesting.

It does confirm two things I know as facts... that we've had the toughest schedule thus far and that our schedule is going to be easier (by no means gimme's but can't be any worse) than our first 5 games were. What does the toughest opponent's in defeat and victory categories mean?
