Just means your guys are either in double coverage or in zone coverage.

Well your CB has allowed five receptions while only being targeted 15 times so that does not seem real elite. Just means that he is good at covering everyone elses player but his own lol. My CB has been targeted 60 times and only given up 7 receptions with 40PD and 2 picks. So no I would say that more pd than targets just means you have a good zone CB but one on one you are average.

This guy is elite compared to your guy. He's been outleveled by most of the dots he's faced and he goes against teams number 1 WR every game. He's capable of playing WL next season but I know he'll just be a average CB at that level.

Does that make my coverage LB elite? Or does that just mean most HB's and TE's have low jumping?

LOLrly. This might apply to the moran who responded with his linebacker's propensity for PDs.

It took me two plays to find two examples where you sound silly. Granted the competition was weaksauce but it begs another question. How am covering these receivers one on one, deflecting the intended pass towards the receiver I am covering, yet a "target" is not realized.

And to the other fine fine contributors...I never brought up my cornerback. Just trying to assess excellence with the few metrics we are given in this game. Isn't that a huge part of it? <--rhetorical

Uh...was this a dot comparison thread..ummm.....no. But thats sweet of him. Maybe our CBs could become friends because they both have something in common. Both being outleveled by their competition and excelling.

Ahhh, to guarantee that you are going against a #1 WR or WR1 slot begs the question of your knowledge of gameplanning and basic game strategy.

It don't matter what WR lines up across from my CB. He's shut them down for the most part even in single coverage. If he isn't facing the teams top WR then I take that as respect for avoiding my guy. Most WR's at his level are tough to cover from their builds finally be rounded out and he's among the top in his conference. I saw your CB had more PD's than targets so my assumption was you meant your CB.

By the way you titled the thread it seemed like you were hyping your guy up to being elite. Clearly I know basic strategy if I'm building effective dots.

17 targets no receptions allowed. LMAO I could say he's lock down but he's really just been good when he gets snaps on D and been a beast as a ST's gunner. Non Booster so he'll never mount to anything big but it's been fun experimenting with him.

So for a CB to be a good man to man, should he have a low amount of targets, as well as a good amount of PD?

You should watch the sim and see if he's getting beat and if he's giving up passes. The receptions allowed stat is somewhat flawed, and using PDs can be deceiving since some are still caught.
