#1 (Last Week: 1) - Cypriot Freedom (8-0) - No change here as Cypriot pulls away from a good Stockholm team in the 4th Quarter. Next opponent: Urban Super Dogs (Prediction - Cypriot stat padding)

#2 (Last Week: 3) - Devonport Devils (7-1) - No miracle this week as Devonport cruises to a W. They move up to where they belong since Plankton is unable to sandbag their ranking this week. Next opponent: Gold Coast Michelin Men (Prediction - Devonport by 28)

#3 (Last Week: 4) - Eastern European Alliance (7-1) - EEA upsets Asau in convincing fashion as they stake claim to the top spot in Zeta. Dont see them jumping any higher than this playing in lolzeta with Cypriot and Devonport looking to win out. Next opponent: Indianola Longhorn Legends (Prediction - EEA by 38)

#4 (Last Week: 2) - Asau Pirates (7-1) - See comments for EEA. Tough loss but they dont drop very far. Will always hold the tiebreaker over Banzai with their tournament victory. Next opponent: Fairview Heights Fireflies (Prediction - Asau bye week stat padding)

#5 (Last Week: 5) - Banzai Pipeline Nites (7-1) - Banzai squeaked out a close one against the Death Dealers. They stay idle at #5 for another week though they are looking very beatable these days. Next opponent: 8 Mile Assault (Prediction - Banzai by a lot)

#6 (Last Week: 10) - Sin City Silent Assassins (6-2) - Wasnt much to see in Sin City this week but they are back up to where they belong. It was just what the doctor order after blowing a late lead and losing in OT to Stockholm in Week 7. That said, they better not sleep on an underrated Boston team next week. Next opponent - Boston Bulldogs (Prediction - Sin City by 10)

#7 (Last Week: 8) - 6th Street Savage Swarm (5-3) - 6th Street started off slow this week but came came back and dominated their rival in the second half. Its hard to rank them any lower than this and will not be tested again until week 10. Next opponent: VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY (Prediction - 6th Street by a lot)

#8 (Last Week: 7) - Stockholm Black Death (5-3) - Stockholm played Cypriot strong for three quarters. Just a couple weeks ago I was unsure where this team should be ranked, but it is without question this is a playoff team. Next opponent: Hong Kong Voodoo (Prediction: Stockholm by a lot)

#9 (Last Week: 9) - Sumatra Sea Hawks (7-1) - Not much changed for Sumatra with another bye. Unfortunately Sumatra will not be challenged again until week 11. Record suggests they should be higher... however I am feeling generous putting them here. Next opponent: Fortaleza Prowlers (Prediction: Sumatra by a lot)

#10 (Last Week: 6) - Bora Bora Bangaroos (5-3) - Bora Bora was upset by Boston this week. They were shutout in the first half and fell just short on their second half comeback. I cant help but think they got caught sleeping on a very good/underrated Boston team. Next opponent: Florida BeachDogZ (Prediction - Bora Bora by a lot)

Good catch... your team page still says 2-5... I saw the 2 and assumed a loss. Doh

Regardless, it wouldnt have effected where I have yall ranked. Unfortunately, I have yall finishing the season at 5-11.

I struggled with that one mostly because I am not sure what to make of the Death Dealers (wish I had room for both DD and Boston in the top 10... almost did top 12 but I had already spent too much time on the writeup ). That said, the deciding factor for me was that Bora Bora is the only 5-3 Alpha team guaranteed to reach 10-6 and I couldnt ignore that they have beaten the Dealers and Black Death (those two wins should ensure them a playoff bid).

Last 3 spots will be decided by 6th St, Stockholm, Death and Boston. Stockholm was the team I was originally thought would be left out. I actually think they might be the best of the four teams now. With that in mind I couldnt confident pick the other two spots from those three teams. DD has an edge though having won the h2h with Boston.

And that is why Alpha is awesome. There is a good team who is going to be at home watching Cypriot stomp the team that finishes ahead of them.

Altho, they get the same playoff revenue either way, so it isn't like it matters that much.

its always fun to watch the lower seeds try and lolglbrape the higher seeds in the playoffs

Pretty sure at 11-5 OTM would make the playoffs, so don't count us out yet!
