Week 7 Predictions
Usual disclaimer: this is my opinion only. If you don’t like it, I still love you.
Continuing the ever popular video game theme, this week is RPG week.
Naga
Game Of The Week
Victoria Teabaggers (5-1) v Golden Hill Bones (3-3)
This isn’t the most exciting slate of games in Naga after last week’s epic contests, but this should still be a fun one. GHB has muddled through their first 6 games at .500 while VT is looking like a potential home playoff team. GHB will need to pull off at least 1 upset to make the playoffs in a stacked conference. Can they do it here or is that their Final Fantasy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zmj8VFDupus of the week? VT 35, GHB 20
Other Games
Palembang Drunken Monks (6-0) v Portland Dirty Penguins (1-5)
PDP has had a really tough schedule to start and some heart breakingly close losses. This week won’t help, but they have a lot of winnable games in the second half of the season. The Monks meanwhile picked up a huge win over one of their rivals, the Garudas. It’s almost like beating Legend of Zelda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rQSo7nKRu0 Monks 52, PDP 21
Semarang Red Bulls (5-1) v Royal Blue Drunken Smurfs of Funkalicious Labatt (2-4)
Semarang was very surprisingly upset last game by SFC and could be out for blood in this one. The very young Smurf dots have been playing very well as of late, but the Fallout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC7mP73Jh7s from the Semarang loss pretty much dooms any chance of sneaking up on them. Semarang 55, Smurfs 20
Krungthep Garudas (5-1) v The Outlaw Hustlers (4-2)
It took pretty much every second of the game against the Monks for the Garudas to pick up their first SEA loss in a very long time. TOH meanwhile has lost two straight and would love to stem the bleeding. The Garudas aren’t exactly handing out gauze and bandages though. It’s more liking looking right into the eyes of el Diablo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_CXdv3-peg Garudas 49, TOH 17
Sainte Foy Cyclones (3-3) v Benton Harbor Havoc (3-3)
SFC is holding an ace card in the battle for the playoffs after beating Semarang in a big surprise. BHH would love to trump that with a royal flush of SFC to put themselves in the driver’s seat. SFC is playing well enough right now that BHH might need to call in some Knights of the Old Republic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbSX2ASiKug to help them out. SFC 35, BHH 21
Woody Island Wolverines (5-1) v Orlando Praying Mantis (3-3)
Other than one blip on the radar, WW is playing great dotball this season. OPM is also playing surprisingly well considering that they’re playing with a ton of CPU guys, but it looks like it’s starting to catch up with them a bit. Their playoff hopes are pretty much Earthbound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YiuK4KJoME at this point. WW 52, OPM 13
Hong Kong Hustlers (4-2) v Dayton Blackhawks (0-6)
HKH is back on track after beating longtime rival PDP and is on pace to once again have a solid playoff season. Dayton meanwhile has a new goal of avoiding relegation so that they can come back stronger next season. An upset here would really help but seems unlikely. HKH would love to show them the Baldur’s Gate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP4PYHDzEdM right out of SEA. HKH 45, Dayton 9
Tibetan Drunk Monks (0-6) v Dayton Raiders (0-6)
Call this the relegation bowl, part 1, as the winner has a leg up in remaining in SEA for next season. Meanwhile, the loser is that much closer to Oblivion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaMWNOURKjE in the dotball sense. Monks 13, Raiders 10

lolgaruda
Game of the Week
Krakow Kryptonite (5-1) v Halifax Harpoons (4-2)
Yet another GoTW appearance for the Krakow crew. They seem to be making it a habit this season. Both are looking good for the playoffs, barring a collapse of some sort, but a win here would also help the prospects of a home playoff game. Which team brings the bigger Warhammer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-S0gO5vQBY for this one? You would it wouldn’t be right if I picked Halifax, they hate that. Krakow 35, Halifax 17
Other Games
Phu Khao Bow Chicka Brown Cows (5-1) v Awendaw Toadfish (1-5)
HUGE win for the Cows last time over NYE, putting them in the driver’s seat for the top seed in lolgaruda. Awendaw also got a needed win in the race to avoid relegation so that they can come back better next season. You know they’d like to keep their Persona http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJWo7mowqUE here and not back in regional. Cows 65, Toadfish 3
New York Empire (5-1) v Buffalo Knights (3-3)
NYE is already thinking of playoff revenge against the Cows but shouldn’t sleep on a Knights team that can periodically jump up and bit the top tier teams. The Knights however find themselves in the unfamiliar position of having to fight just to make the playoffs and a loss here puts them under .500 for the season. Look for them to bring their whole World of Warcraft http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtGCfz5v1Eg to this one. NYE 30, Buffalo 23
Buffalo Rampage (5-1) v Island of Misfit Toys (1-5)
Yup, one of those mirror image record games. That’s never good this far into the season for one of the teams. Buffalo seems to be on an Everquest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kjzMkmmagw for lolgaruda titles, while IMT is just looking to survive their first trip to SEA. Buffalo 59, IMT 13
Wu Dang Kung Fu Academy (4-2) v Tanzania Lumberjacks (4-2)
This could be another good game. Wu has recovered very nicely from a rough 0-2 start while Tanzania has taken a more conventional route to 4-2. The winner is on the playoff fast-track, while the loser will be fighting the rest of the way just to make it in the big dance. Which team brings their full City of Heroes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Zxy-hJWoTY to bear? Wu 31, Tanzania 21
Mandalay King Cobras (3-3) v Mandanum CPU (CPU)
MKC is much improved this season and looking at their schedule you can tell they’ll be fighting for that last playoff spot all season. This game will at least get them back over the .500 mark without too much trouble as they leave this CPU team in a Myst http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB0hzTLCbHc of failure. MKC 225, CPU 0
Chaotic Crew (2-4) v Atlantic Great Whites (1-5)
Neither of these teams is eliminated from playoff contention yet of course but it’s going to be REALLY tough for both of them to get back in it. A win for one of them will be helpful to that cause. Which one will come up with a more Grandia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26HUzYtCKa0 scheme for success? AGW 23, CC 20
Boston Bears (4-2) v Praha Velvet Revolution (0-6)
Boston is having easily their biggest amount of success yet in lolgaruda while PVR is fading fast, needing to pick up a couple of wins at some point to avoid relegation. At least when PVR is on their back, they can look up at the Skies of Acadia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Fk3LNS18Ls Boston 56, PVR 3
Usual disclaimer: this is my opinion only. If you don’t like it, I still love you.
