As it is currently right now, I hate this sim. I hate everything about it and the new dpc and I'm all against it. That being said, I sure hope all of you took the time to test out the new dpc, as I did, during the pre season to get a jump on what you have to look forward to for s21.
Shit is different...

From what I've seen so far this pre season... OPL is very watered down since last season. It's not pretty at all. Oh well, shit happens, lets move on.

Alpha
For this season at least, alpha is the better conference. I hate to say it but we lost a lot of good teams in zeta this season and if I were to venture a guess, alpha could rack up 12 wins in the cross conference battle week 1.

For those of you hoping to win Alpha, I'm sorry its a 2 horse race. Freedom and Devils are by far the best clubs this season and I would be very surprised to see either one not meet in the CCG.
Devils, I watched some of your games, you didn't do so much research in the preseason as I would have figured - I'm guessing you're waiting on others to do it for you. Hcreek - ya, we did work this pre season *high five*

Cypriot wins alpha this season barring a miracle. Look for 6th street, nites and boston to do well.

Zeta
Zeta doesn't look too good this season and its okay - we lost a lot of good teams and we'll make it happen.

The clear cut favorites in zeta look to be the two teams in the top 10 of OPL's lolEL rankings. Asau and EEA. Everybody else just isn't going to cut it. I'm sorry that's the truth.
Asau looks very solid offensively and if their defense can make the cut, should put up at least 14 wins. EEA, well, we won't do much until the post season.

Look for a couple of the new teams in OPL zeta to compete but because they didn't have a pro style defense set in s19 will lose out a bit because the new dpc sucks. Sumatra should come in third and that's only based on Hcreek's already installed defense from s19.

GL OPL

EEA is not one of the top Zeta teams but if you want to start another season believing that go for it. Your disrespect of the fighting Bibendums is duly noted.

I really have not had as much time for GLB as I would like. I am not even 1/4 of the way thru converting my S21 AI over yet. I did run some new plays this preseason, but not very many. In the end, I had no intention of running the new plays, as I have over 200 old DPC plays to pick from this season.

I'm not overly concerned tho as I have a friend that owns a Pro team and will scrim me and set O how I request about anytime I ask. Plus, our farm team will be in the lower 60s by the offseason, so I will have some opportunities to keep working the new stuff.

Regarding your write-up, I think you are leaving two very good teams out of the mix for Alpha. Sin City and Death both could make alot of noise this season, IMO.

The Pats(ies) don't tend to get riled up like most other teams though.

They are like the cerebral team (aka Northwestern or Purdue) of the league.

Sin City is good always and were left off on purpose and Death Dealers are a good running team and in this sim, might do great.

Also - I wasn't saying your lack of testing was a negative thing. The lack of testing allowed your defense to play much better accordingly. http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1511121 In this game for example. My defense was all experimenting in the first half and s19 defense in the second half. Pretty big difference ya know?

If by "do well" you mean lock down the 8th seed (again) then yeah, I'm optimistic. We're fairly meh. Much respect for my fellow Alpha clubs (even the newbs), they all scare me...well most of the top 12 or so. I think the top 5 for Zeta will be good this season...EEA, Assau, GCV, Sumantra I think should be the top 4, but I could see Indianola or Supa Chargers making a move for a home playoff game if they get some sims going their way. Forgive me if I left your team out, this is off the top of my head.

I won't dare predict anything outside the obvious top two out of Alpha. Even lolGCMM looks great so far. There's going to be a few good teams miss the playoffs on the Alpha side, just like last season.

Good thread, pretty much agree. Sumatra's chemistry will hurt us early, I wish the EEA game was later in the season.
