I have never set a favorite target, nor have I advised any of my QBs to do so, is there a benefit to setting a favorite target? how does it work?

pretty sure it just means he favours throwing to them so he will throw to them more then other recivers for example a reciver may be more open then his fav target but he throws to his fav target because he trusts him more

Used it this season and less passes started going to them lol.

its unpredictable but overall more passes will go in their direction, and they will look to them quicker.
in a game i expect certain plays to be always open, i'll use it.
it seems to increase the amount of times the QB will vision check to that man out of progression when he's open.
