Heading to the Coast. Have you ever been to Cartagena JT?

I haven't. I've spent a few months total in Santa Marta and only 2 days in Barranquilla. I hear once you get outside of the historical area there isn't that much to it.

There are lots of nice beeches and the Islands are pretty sweet - my brother-in-law has a boat so we usually make it out there when I'm up. The city also has a great night life because of all the tourism.

That's what I've heard. There is a guy down here in Pascagula, MS that has a cousin who owns a Hotel/Brothel over there. I'd like to get over there and check it out, Cartegena, not the brothel so much. Santa Marta has nice beaches but the city as a whole doesn't have much to it.

Have you been up into the Sierra Nevadas? I did the hike up to the Lost City about 12 years ago - pretty impressive

I haven't. My first time there was my first time in Colombia. I pretty much stayed drunk for 3 weeks. The other times I went there I was with my ex wife. I was stuck out at her parents finca and at her brother in law's mom's house. It was horrible actually. Next time I get over to the coast I'm going to do a lot of those things. I still haven't been to playa blanca that everyone tries to promote and get you out too. Went to Tanga once, wasn't my thing. Too much fish and white guys who bought up all the houses on the hills.

How long is that hike? Is that a 2 day hike or something like that?
